Saludar at times waited too much, and then when he was actually active he wasted too much. Vacillating between two undesirable polar extremes. He could have good accuracy or output, apparently not both.

Then with Rosa, man, the guy is fast and athletic as all get-out but the lack of accuracy and sitting down on shots is a real problem. You can't skate by on those alone at the top levels of this sport.

 

These highlights with no audio feels ...awkward. I keep turning up the volume thinking something is wrong on my end.

 

Ah, there's a walkout bout. I thought with them doing some kind of recognition ceremony for domestic boxing luminaries (Carlos Adames and Alberto Puello were in the ring a few minutes ago) they might be winding down, but, guess there's more.

 

José Manuel Aguirre Cruz vs. Milner Antonio Marcano Sánchez, 8 rounds @ super featherweight

 

Not sure about staying up for this one, pretty sleepy.

Marcano, hailing from Venezuela, is a glass cannon though (22-11 with eighteen victories and nine defeats by KO) ...so this could be an explosive little nightcap either way. I'll give it a round, see how this undefeated Puerto Rican prospect Aguirre looks.

Some guy sitting at ringside is...having a birthday party? With a girl clad in a skimpy black garment with basically her entire bosom hanging out the sides (would probably be considered too revealing for Hooters ) presenting him with a cake, which his friends then proceed to smear frosting off and rub on his nose. Who is this shlub?

 

Otabek Kholmatov vs. Anyelo Alberto Muñoz Almanzar, 8 rounds @ featherweight

 

Uzbek southpaw kid looks decent.

 

Kholmatov gets the KO4, basically making Muñoz turn his back, grab the ropes and give up under fire.

 

Félix Parada Marcelo vs. Francisco Alberto Silvens Mateo, 8 rounds @ heavyweight

 

Parada is coming off three straight KO victories - comprising his entire pro career this far. Silvens on the other hand is coming off three straight KO losses, before which he was himself a near-perfect can-crushing machine at 23-0 (22).

 

If you squinted, and were drunk, you might think you were seeing Joseph Parker vs. Bermane Stiverne here..

 

Silvens quits. (as do I, whether there's more or not )
