These are Soviet boxers for the 1968 Olympics.
The mitt work has aged pretty well.

Look at the guy at the end.

    This is an excellent vid!
These guys showing good technical skill and nice head movement too.
Viktor Ageev is my favorite very modern style he had.

Check out Jerzy Kulej Polish legend who won Olympic Gold in 64 & 68 had a bit of a peek-a-boo style going.

He's President of the Professional Boxing Federation of Russia his name is usually announced on the Russian cards (Lebedev, Povetkin, etc) prior to the fight along with officials.

    Great find men.
Being a first generation American who is mostly Ukrainian I really enjoy these.
    Popenchenko was ethnic Ukrainian too.

They were probably on Roids then and they still got their butts kicked the Olympics by a young inexperienced George Foreman.

Dang what do the Ukrainians put in their water. Popenchenko, was GGG before GGG. I wonder how many Ukrainians fell under the radar when they weren't allowed to fight pro. Somebody should write something on them, right now Lomenchenko and Usyk are making a big time noise in the pro's, without a doubt they are future HOF'rs

Wouldnt you say Foreman was special, and the guys he fought in that Olympic's were nothing special.

It looked to me that the second guy in the mitts was Boris Kuznetsov, who won the gold in the 72 games, he didn't competed in the 68 games, but maybe was an alternate.
