I understand why you say Broner is no Mayweather, but did you see how bad that style made Marquez look? Please do not gauge Marquez of the back of the Pacquiao fight, Pacquiao contributed at least 50% of his downfall in that fight, so reckless and careless....he said it himself for f*cks sake!

Marquez is a great fighter and one of my favorites, but good god, watch that Mayweather fight again. We all know Mayweather is on another level. But it was the fundamental style that screwed Marquez. Once again proving my theory that Mayweather is on another level, because Marquez is a great fighter who gives anybody else a tough fight.

Styles make fights, Marquez is made for Pacquiao, Marquez is made for come forward fighters, he is a counter puncher. When it is counter puncher vs. counter puncher, he is found wanting.

Mayweather had been out 18 months going into that fight, and Marquez could not do ****!

Broner UD. Hate me all you like, I dont care anymore. :bart

but look at some of the combinations Marquez threw compared to the ones Ponce De Leon( a smaller man) threw or Demarco, jesus it's incomparable actually, just because Floyd Mayweather minimized the damage from those attacks, doesn't mean Adrien Broner would be laying back deflecting the combinations of Juan Manuel Marquez and countering, Marquez would hit the Broner I've seen with at least 3 of every 5 and that's being conservative

Broner is not ridiculously hard to hit tho, why do you think he's mayweather level in that dept? He aint! Even ricky Burns knows he cant beat Mayweather or Marquez but were talking Broner. Just because Broner shoulder roll's and he's black with swag you think he's on that level. Broner will struggle against Burns because Burns is a very clever fighter at what he does, he's got a better jab, bigger reach and better footwork. Broners footwork and jab is worse than domestic level. He should fight well prepared Kev to see if he's ready for Burns

    :deal

Abril has the reach advantage on Broner, which i think is key as Abril isnt gonna stand there giving broner freebies, im interested to see how broner reacts to Abril's long reaching jab and that he will stick and move , and if Broner gets inside Abril will hold hold hold

Marquez would ****ing destroy Broner, its not even funny.

'The Broner Shoulder roll' Mayweather would put Broner in a roll and stuff it in his dads mouth! ****ing frauds man, cant wait untill they're 'Exposed'. I hope Burns is the man, i really think he has the tools to do it.

I agree, Abril is no mug. To be honest this could be a harder fight for Broner than Burns. Burns beats Abril tho. styles makes fights.

All I'm doing is speaking from experience. I know Broner is no Mayweather, he is a wannabe. But I look back at Mayweather's earlier career and the similarities are uncanny. I've seen it and heard it all before with Mayweather, people doubted him near enough every fight simply because they didnt like him or his arrogance.

But he was getting the job done every single fight and slowly but surely people were waking up to how good he is and has now become. Arguably, Mayweather never started opening eyes until he beat Corrales. 25 fights in.

People new he was talented, we could see that, but that fight truly announced his arrival. He destroyed Corrales, (who many favored in the fight, remember this) Mayweather was still an unfinished product back then, experience made him better, more fights made him better.

Broner will be no different. Broner is also now on his 25th fight, 26th is to be Abril. (Like I said way back, Ricky is at the back of the que! There a bigger money fights in the US for Broner before Ricky Burns, thats just the truth, Abril and Vazquez and THEN Ricky Burns, mind you if Rios had not have moved up, Rios would have come before also!)

So while Broner hasnt reached that level yet, or had that arrival fight, the fuss surrounding him is very similar.

Look, I dont want to bang my own drum - the DeMarco fight - I predicted easy work and lots on here said "its no forgone conclusion" "DeMarco is a good fighter" "its a tough fight." DeMarco is a good fighter man! Ricky Burns would have had a good fight with DeMarco (Burns is more deserving) but he completely destroyed DeMarco.....so what did I hear from those people after the fight? "DeMarco is crap" etc etc

Come on man, just give credit where it is due. Burns aint fought anyone of that quality at Lightweight yet!

I've seen and heard it all before with Mayweather. And one day, whether you like it or not, your just gonna have to accept it for what it is. Of course Broner is gonna take a few punches, he more than likely encourages a few at this early stage, because he isnt fighting massive punchers, so this in a way is improving him and toughening him up.

But mark my words, the harder the opposition gets, I swear, you watch, and watch carefully now, he will start taking less and less, because he KNOWS he cant take these punches all the time, just like Mayweather, so they adjust and stay above the curve. Mayweather wasnt perfect at this stage either. Maybe closer than Broner, but not finished.

If Broner fights Marquez, he will beat Marquez, I wont look at what Broner has been like in the past, because it is inevitable he will continue to improve and keep proving people wrong, until they accept him.

The fact is, Marquez is fighting at another weight, and will probably retire before Broner gets a piece, so we may all be talking nonsense. Marquez is a great fighter, but he struggled against a similar style, and if the fight ever happens, Marquez will be older and Broner will be better.
