Gunfighter symdrome...yeah. I've been reading a lot about Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday. Those guys, and others, had to watch their backs constantly because some young kid might challenge them. Remember when Earp refereed the Fitzsimmons - Sharkey fight....Earp took off his jacket and the crowd noticed he had a pistol in his belt. He always carried one everywhere. Funny because the first thing the Earp brothers would do when acting as town police would be to post a notice regarding a "No Guns" rule. That would make the modern gun nuts go crazy. But the towns like Dodge and Tombstone were full of young, drunken Cow Boys, and guns and alcohol DO NOT MIX WELL.
