"I have Oscar winning this fight. I expect a clearer margin for Oscar by the judges" :|

Before he hated Floyd, there was Oscar

Probably my favorite ending and one of my favorite
fights. Merchant: "Why hasnt' Oscar pressed the
Advantaged and explored whether Vargas is
still groggy from round 10?" A minute later
body punches and feints set up the "rocket
left hook". Oscar finished great with the combos.
Merchant' sixpack comment was gold as well.
That image of Oscar being held up at the end
in triumph is epic and memorable.

This one is a better finish, a better fight and a better version of Fernando Vargas, Fernando was pretty much after the Tito beating.

Tony did a great job all things considered.....I mean.....he took points away from Chico for his blatant attempt to buy time after getting rocked. Chico didn't deserve to get DQ'd......he did deserve point deductions which Weeks took care of.

Was Chico wrong? Absolutely! But was his heart & determination something to be admired? 100%! Most dudes would have called it a day and gave up....There was no quitting in Chico that night and even though he spit out his mouth piece to buy time after getting hurt.....his reasoning was "G".....he still believed he could win when no one else thought he could...Epic fight and ending....partly becuase of that incident.

Leave it to butt-hurt Merchant to be a negative nancy, right when the opposite of the very thing he's bitching about occurs in the ring. Poetic.
