ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Action 7 News obtained exclusive police video of a stumbling and disoriented Johnny Tapia after his crash near Golf Course Road and Paseo del Norte Boulevard in January. Click Like For New Mexico News Updates: The video shows Tapia performing field sobriety tests. At times, Tapia breaks out in shadow boxing moves. Police reports indicated that he was lethargic and struggled to follow the officers' directions to count his steps and stand on one foot. "The video speaks for itself. I wasn't there, but officers on scene did write reports that their initial observations was that he was very lethargic and seemed to be under the influence of something," officer Mark Aragon said. After failing his field sobriety test, police took him to a nearby substation to take a blood sample. Police said they still don't have those results. Right now, Tapia is a free man.
