    Wilfredo Gomez and Wilfred Benitez were sensations in my country back in 1972 during a Central American Championship here in Costa Rica. Gomez was just 16 and beating the hell out of everybody while Benitez was just 14 and reached the semis losing against Armando Martinez who defeated Alfonso Zamora in the Olympic final that same year.
