This is one of those "do you remember when?" fights.

I remember exactly when and where I was when it happened and knew somewhere early in the fight that I was witnessing a CLASSIC.

Lol this made my day, the thread and the vid. To me, you watch a boring fight, it feels like it's sapping you even. It's even bad for your health! You feel like clutching your chest like Fred Sanford. A gem like this one, tho, 2 great fighters close to their primes fighting with an unbridled fury and high skillset, this is what keeps boxing alive. These 2 legends fought another 24 exciting rounds to make a trilogy, but like the movies, the sequel rarely is as great as the original. Thanks for puttin this up Rummy. I remember having this one on vhs!

Wow. I forgot how good that first fight was. Sadly I think both of them left a bit of themselves in the ring that night. Brutal affair. Which sort of supports your Marquez, Pacquiao ****ogy. Barrera and Morales just beat each other to a pulp.

Good call on the 11th round. Morales was absolutely shaken to the core by the body shots from Barrera. It's amazing he didn't take a knee, probably didn't because he knew if he did, he'd have trouble getting back up.

    A real classic war.

I've owned this one on VHS, DVD, and now in digital format. This one's always been a must have. I really wish this fight took place with today's technology and the beautiful details of HD footage. I really wish that about a ton of fights that happened pre-2010, but this one more than most.

Yeah, I definitely think they both left quite a bit of themselves in the ring that night. By the time they had their rematch, I think both noticeably had lost a step or more - despite both still being P4P elites.

They both had a "special gear" that night, that they'd never again be able to reach.
