    Thanks for sharing :good

Btw what was your scorecard? As I see the people who were there are pretty consensus that it was 118-110. While the people who werent there see this fight rather like 116-112/117-111 some have even 115-113. I am just curious, because you will not see everything in the TV, on the other hand when you are in the fight arena there is also a crowd that supports a fighter and it may also influence on your judgement.

I give Grant rounds: 6, 8, 12. Originally I gave him also 3rd rounds, but when I rewatched I noticed that Adamek outboxed Grant in that round.

    You're welcome!
    :cheers

The Grant interview should be ready in 30-45 minutes for anyone who is interested.

The official scorecards seemed right on the money to me. I had it 117-111, but 118-110 was probably the right score. I gave Grant rounds 6 and 12 and I gave him a mercy round somewhere along the way.

Honestly, the only round Grant clearly won was round 12. Even in round 6 where he really shook Adamek, I thought Adamek was well ahead in that round and he got caught with a great shot near the very end.

119-109 seems reasonable to me, too.

Grant just wasn't doing much, and Adamek was clocking him with left hooks in almost every round.

My full thoughts on the fight can be seen here:

Most of the media seemed to think 116-112, 117-111. The guy I was sitting right next to (the President of the BWAA inexplicably had it a draw (114-114). Tom Hauser was sitting on the other side of me, he had it 115-113. Then two other guys near me had it 116-112 and 117-111. When I went to the conference, a lot more people had it 117-111/118-110 and one guy even had it 119-109.

I think the only guy in press row (or at least the only one I know of) who did not score the fight for Adamek was the guy next to me who had it a draw (Jack Hirsch)

Like I said, the only round I think Granty absolutely won was the 12th.

117-111 or 118-110 seem right to me.

    I'm exhausted dude.

I woke up at 5:30 am to go fishing on my last morning of vacation. It was my worst week of fishing ever, but that's another story.

I drove home six hours, rested for a little bit, and then headed out to the Adamek-Grant fight. The post fight press conference didn't end until like 1:30 am or so.

I drove back and had to import the footage, process it, etc.

I've been up for 27 hours now and I'm getting too old for this.

Didnt see this fight yet. Got home at 4AM drunk from a party, started the stream, the fight prior was just about to start, and I passed out and missed it. They are reshowing it later tho.

Heard it was a hard fought fight for Adamek. Thanks for the video.

I'm hard pressed to see how any objective observer found a way to give Grant more than 3 rounds--and that's being very generous.

The only round Grant clearly won was the 12th.

Exactly, pro boxing is scored as follows:

    • Clean Punching
    • Effective Aggression
    • Ring Generalship
    • Defense
    Adamek all the way.

This is how I feel about Haye vs Valuev.

I guess being the ESB addicts we undeniably are, Rummy, we should learn to accept that some people just don't know how to score Boxing matches.

just saw the fight now, sure tomaz had some awkward moments but he was not exposed at all as some have said, that was an excellent fight and adamek is earning my respect greatly , he is clocking up HW fights now with an assortment of opponents and styles

also love the polish support, every pole watches the guy

Yo! Thats how I saw it, too. I saw you sitting at the media table. From where you were, if you would have turned 90 degress to your left, I was up there near the huge curtain that divides the arena. Scoop was right behind you.

Exciting fight. My wife was screaming in the 12th for Adamek to get the hell out of there! I though TA did well aganst the giant. Good tactic to jab with Grant. Then come the body shots & finish with the left hook upstairs. Must have done that 100 times last night.
