Video: Amateur boxer attacks referee

Did this event take place in England? Just wondering.

I would not be surprised if it did, they are well known for very very very early stoppages.

Even if it was a bull**** decision, there is no reason to assault someone. I can sincerely feel for this guy if he was robbed, but thats just no way to handle things. Which is more important: A boxing title or a man's life?

Bad stoppage, but terrible sportsmanship. Yeah, it deserves a life time ban....and yes, jail time too.

 

Have you seen the entire fight? Were you close enough to see the red boxers facial expression? Or did you just watch the clip showing a few seconds of fight, the stoppage and what followed?

For you to to say the "he did some good" is disgusting. Horrible way to respond to what happened. Sure from the couple seconds of the fight we all have seen it did seem like a premature stoppage. but that in no way makes it ok for a trained fighter to attack another person and dog shot him like a coward.

Unless you are somehow connected to this all you have absolutely no way of knowing if there were any of this corruption in place or if the ref took brides etc etc.. Using your own assumptions to defend the piece of trash boxer is pathetic. It was nothing but assault.

I think you should go rethink a few basic human morals

 

Also just to clarify. From the short amount of the fight that was in the clip it does look somewhat like a soft/premature stoppage.

But jumping to conclusions about how the ref was corrupt or what not, when he could possibly just had a bad night at the office without any type of proof is ridiculous. It in no way justifies the red boxers actions. the red boxer should be banned and charged with assault.

 

Blah blah blah. Do you feel righteous now? I'm sure the kid will be charged with assault as he should be by the laws of his state if he's american. What was gonna happen to the crooked ref? Nothing...so he got his to. And I said if that guy never refs again it's good for boxing. Don't twist my words to suit your holy rants.

 

We know amateur boxing is filled with corruption and dodgy schmucks. I would be frustrated as well after all that training for the fight to be over like that, but that was a committed attack. He threw 9 punches before being pulled out of the ring. These crooked refs and judges need to be looked after though.

How exactly do you come to this assumption?

lets see the clip linked starts with the red boxer already getting a count. the ref waves it back on at the 11 second mark then stops it at 17 seconds. 6 seconds fight time. so you can tell instantly the ref is corrupt and the red boxer "did some good". How do you know he wasn't getting and ass whooping put on him before the clip started? how do you know how he was responding to the ref when being questioned?

how do we know the ref just didn't make a mistake? we've all seen premature stoppages from even the best refs in the business.

Again all you've done is jump to your own ******ed conclusion and used it as a way of somewhat justifying the red blokes actions as the ref is corrupt and needs out of boxing in your opinion without providing any evidence of wrong doing. Unless that is if you are in the know and have info about what happened that no one else has. I doubt you do though as you say in the quote above "if he's american" highlighting you don't even know where he's from. It's widely reported he's Croatian. 6 seconds fight time from a clip with no sound is all you need to know though right?

he has been suspended for life and has been arrested.

 

He did get a life ban from boxing.
Btw it was his third down in a fight first two downs whare real.
Reff did made a mistke mb he was corrupted idk but still
thare is no exuse attacking 50 year old man like a coward.

if the ref is corrupted than they played it really good

ref gave 2 public penalties to blue one before this "early stoppage" to red. red had to control the fight and he would win.

and also, his ex trainer (also suspended because of doping affairs) was encouraging him from public by yelling to punch ****er, and he did it.
