Guerrero would have definitely sparked him, whereas Collazo only might spark him if he is his customary idiot self.

Guerrero is a solid fighter but he's definitely not sparking anyone, not even Khan. The last time Guerrero stopped someone was in 2010. I like the Collazo fight more because of Collazo's activity and recent big win.

After a long training camp, hopefully he can take what he's learnt and apply it in the ring. Khan has said he's made improvements in the past, however, I've never seen much improvements at all. Hope he actually has corrected some of his flaws, and we do see a disciplined Khan, not getting caught in exchanges, staying on the outside and using his jab a lot more.

Guerrero, would have been a better match up for Khan. A much bigger name than Collazo.

    Who has Guerrero beat?...

a blind Berto? after a 12 round brawl?

Styles make fights. That is the only reason why Guerrero is a harder fight than Collazo for Khan

Glad Khan Guerrero didn't happen...because if Guerrero beat khan on the Floyd undercard he'd call Floyd out again...**** that ****.

I don't care when he last recorded a kayo, he is a more dangerous welterweight puncher than Collazo and the better overall fighter in 2014. (prime Collazo, different story).

Collazo is coming off a surprise result that is misleading for multiple reasons. 1, Ortiz ain't **** right now and 2) before that, Collazo had been looking shitty for years, ever since he fought Berto...so that was a one-off big moment for him, lucky for him as Collazo is a nice guy, netting him this Khan payday, but don't get it twisted, he is no top welter nowadays.

Guerrero punched hard at featherweight and since climbing up has shown evidence of retaining a good deal of that pop (which goes hand in hand with his timing and sharpness of punching to make him dangerous). He dropped El Cepillo, twice dropped teak-tough Chente Escobedo long before the years took a toll on him and ruined his resistance, hurt Katsidis very badly in the 5th and nearly dropped him, kept teak-tough Aydin's respect and dropped Berto twice.

Trust me, if Khan fought Guerrero the same dumb way he fought Kidd Diaz (another guy whose climb is comparable to Guerrero's but who didn't carry up nearly as much pop and didn't have as much to begin wtih) he would have been sparked.

Styles do make fights but Guerrero is also just flat-out better than Collazo right now and would've probably done the same thing with that same version of Victor Ortiz.

Collazo has done a lot more at welterweight than Guerrero. I consider him the better boxer of the two. However, Guerrero is the bigger name, sadly in boxing a name sells and is a lot more important.

He wouldn't fight Guerrero nor Collazo the way he fought Diaz, I promise you that. He knows this next fight is his one and only chance to score a big payday against Mayweather, so fighting stupid won't be a part of his game plan.

He will fight mostly from the outside, keep distance and look to bank as many rounds as possible before eventually running out of gas, hopping about confused, turning his back, glaring at the referee...etc till the final bell hits.

    YEARS ago.

The Ortiz KO is the only remotely meaningful thing Collazo has done since getting robbed against Berto...and the Ortiz KO doesn't mean that much considering Ortiz fought zero times in 2013, once in 2012 (getting his jaw literally shattered) and suffered a handful of brutal knockdowns in 2011 at the hands of Berto and Mayweather.

Yeah, in his prime...like when he fought Hatton. Maybe even as late as Mosley. Long time ago.

Have you even seen any of Collazo's work between Berto and Ortiz? Dog **** fighter these days.

I don't even know if he is the bigger name. Collazo obviously still has a lot of people excited about his comeback after having spent five years being irrelevant. Guerrero is really only 'known' for challenging Mayweather.

Guerrero and (to a lesser extent) Collazo are better than Diaz, though, and could force Khan to fight the way they want him to - unlike Diaz who just benefited from a good styles match-up. (he proved versus Porter that he can neutralize sloppy hand speed with his well timed counters and willingness to eat flurries to land 'em). Collazo and Guerrero both have sizable ring IQs and loads more size on Khan than Diaz, and could pretty much have it their way, matching his reach on the outside or bullying him.

Guerrero would 100% knock him spark out.

Collazo might beat him to it, however.

Guerrero has no boxing ability whatsoever, he is just rough and tough and at 147 he has balooned to a very poorly conditioned version; Collazo has the benefit of being slick and a natural welterweight but he doesn't have those many skills. The equivalent in american terms to Amir Khan is clearly Devon Alexander and that would be a clear cut 50-50 fight. Khan is favoured to win against Collazo but he will not be a huge favourite because Collazo has experience at World Championship level and Khan is to box in spite of "going to war".

    :patsch

Collazo is slick, a natural welter ...and shot to pieces. Knocking a tattered, no longer remotely active (or interested) Ortiz on his ass and making him quit doesn't change any of that.
