He didn't seem to say that in a disrespectful way at all.

You know that similar height and builds when it comes to a tune up does not matter. In sparring you do focus on what you'll be facing.

Ward IMO picked Brand because he didn't want to get butted or injured. He also wanted to work on the jab and banging the body. Brand did have a heavy bag build lol.

Chilemba is similar to Ward but nowhere near as aggressive as Ward, but Ward does jab and Chilemba did land that jab on Kov. But he didn't have the power to hurt Kov and he really didn't go to Kov's body.

Both guys picked these guys as tune ups because IMO they were just good enough to last 12, and not a risk to upset the applecart. Both IMO did well to pick who they picked. I can't knock either guy.

Let the Kov fans lie and motivate themselves. They will need it. I'm favoring Kov right now but I know the danger Ward presents. They pretend not to. But they know.

Excellent point. I honestly hadn't given that much thought, but that you mention it, it seems like an obvious no-brainer in terms of things that can significantly impact the way the action pans out.

Ward didn't say (or at least mean) Kovalev was 'invading', he meant it more along the lines of 'there's new challengers from this region for us Americans..'

Don't look for reasons to smear **** on the man where it doesn't really exist.

As for Kovalev and Ward's sportsmanship and respect towards each other, there's a saying "real recognize real".

While Ward has good punch timing his placement is terrible. You look at those
slow-mos and Ward is landing his fist awkward on the target and with no force
behind the shot. He's too tentative and impotent in there lately. I beleive the only
outcome in this fight is that KOvalev is repeatedly able to hurt Ward en route to a
humiliating stoppage win over the hyped Californian.
