  3. Funny you say that as you make out Cotto, Barrera, Morrales were not prime when they fought Pacquiao..

Morales certainly wasnt. Less to do with age more to do with weight.

Barrera was prime or close enough, and there was nothing wrong with Cotto.

29 is pretty much standard physical prime for most fighters. There are exceptions like Tyson, Vargas and Ali who aged badly but Mayweather, Pac, DLH ect were at their best around this age.

Such a shame. He's a living example of what can happen when a fighter makes a couple of bad decisions. The worst thing is, not only is he with a promoter who doesn't know the game (like you say), but he's with a promoter who'll likely inflate his ego and have him riding on a status he hasn't earned. Andre needs to play the role of the begger now -- take any fight he can -- if he wants to be taken seriously again. I fear 2013 will be another slow year for him if Fiddy doesn't sort his **** out, and he'll be into his 30's before he'll get a shot at someone decent.

Although is he talking about being on Groves' undercard in the UK in that vid? That's a good start (although he really should be on US networks). Activity is key. If he can bag three fights in 2013, then his comeback will be on track.

I think your concerns are a little overblown. Dirrel's partnership with 50 and 50's foray into fight promoting is off to a great start!

No matter what 50 may not know, 50 has made all of the right moves by building solid trusting long term relationships with all of the top fighters, premier promotional camps, and heavy hitting names in the fight world... OLDH, Haymon, Mayweather, etc... :thumbsup

    Oh wait. :gsg:-(

Dirrell ducked Stevenson. Stevenson is now mandatory.
