Bellew vs Haye did 700k + & that had a big heated build up, and Haye is still a big name over here.
I could see Ward vs Bellew getting similar numbers. Bellew is a bit of a character who has fans and haters alike. Like plenty of people tuned in just to see Haye knock him out. If I were to fathom a guess how Ward vs Bellew would do I'd say in the 500k mark, that's with Sky heavily promoting Ward.

Ward vs Joshua easily surpasses 1-1.5 million.
Ward vs Haye would sell quite well as well. Close to a million. Haye's not under the Sky banner though, so I doubt it won't happen, if it was under Sky, Haye-Ward would be a huge fight.

 

If the rumours are true about Bivol joining Matchroom. If Hearn makes him well known in the UK and he holds a few titles a Ward-Bivol fight could potentially be made in a few years. Like if Ward joins Sky, he'll become a personality over here like how Paulie has. And if Bivol becomes the GGG of the LHW division I'd imagine plenty of people clamouring for Ward to come out of retirement to fight him. Just how people were begging for Joe to come out of retirement to fight Ward & Froch. Wheteher he does or not I've got no idea.

I just see Ward joining Sky, on Sky money which is ****ing ridiculous at the moment. Just look at some of the football players wages and fees flying around.

Well, in all fairness, Floyd would cheat at every opportunity too, even when he didn't need to. Remember him sucker punching Arturo Gatti who was already completely outclassed? That was just Floyd's philosophy, seize every advantage, don't fight fair, if you aren't cheating you aren't trying. That's what the IVs and stuff were about, what coming in overweight against Marquez was about, choosing the ring size, the gloves, the ref, the day of the fight, the excessive holding, the forearms to the neck, and only fighting his opponents when they had declined was all about. Ward and Floyd were really two of a kind. Ward wanted to call all the shots, and get paid more than he was actually worth too.

 

He isn't a bum but he's a cheater who had help from paid off refs and judges. He's also boring as hell.

 

Ward is the dirtiest boxer I have ever seen. He always has to have his referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., He lost to Kovalev, the polls suggest that, but I didn't need any polls. What knocked Ward down? A fly? In the rematch Ward landed three illegal low blows to Kovalev's testicles, as soon as that happened, Tony Weeks called the fight off instead of giving Kovalev up to 5 minutes and taking a point away from Ward. They were on purpose and nobody can tell me those blows were not low, I have seen the slow motion video several times and the still pictures. When you own Tony Weeks and Bob Bennett, you can't lose. Punches to the testicles have been illegal in boxing since I can remember, but the holding, headbutting, elbows, etc., I remember Ward's fights. Always in his home town with his officials, that's why Ward could get by with being such a dirty fighter and he knew it. Ward said that neutral judges would be unfair. What kind of a statement is that? Why are neutral judges unfair, plus Ward is a prima donna.....................he is above everyone..................HBO lost money on Ward and am glad they did not allow him to be paid huge money to fight a wino on HBO, HBO refused to show such a fight. Ward was overrated......................Kovalev earned his titles, worked hard for them, had to go to UK to fight Cleverly, Ward would never have done that. I knew Kovalev would be robbed.....................but those low blows..............I think the Golota/Bowe fights should be changed to a knockout for Golota since low blows are legal now................

 

I could have sworn that I heard that the Kessler fight was "stopped due to cut caused by accidental headbutt".

Does anyone know how many boxers get elected to HOF in the same year? It's going to be tough getting the first HOF ballot with Klitschko and Mayweather retiring the same year.

 

Ward would have beaten both Bellew and Stephenson easily, neither one of those guys was in Ward or Kov`s class, better to quit while on top.

 

It would have been pretty big after the Haye fights, but Bellew wasn`t very good as a light heavy and found much more success when he moved up, there was talk of Ward fighting Bellew at cruiser but Ward would probably be very slow at cruiser.
