Ah i remember when Honorio outboxed the **** out of this dude Molina. DeMarco maybe not as slick as Honorio but he's taller, southpaw and can crack as well. Should be a good fight I see DeMarco winning a decision since he starts slow and is methodical in his pace, not very explosive but damn i love this kids heart. Was rooting for him back when he fought Valero.

people say it alot, not too much, but a good amount of fights get hailed as a potential fight of the year candidate. check the backgrounds of these two guys and tell me this isn't a real possibility for fight of the yeat. the ward-dawson card may prove to be the best card of the year, with a highly technical match as the main event, and an all out slugfest as it's co-feature.

    Good fight!
DeMarco is a very underrated fighter who might not seem strong but always seems to buzz or at the very least mange to draw blood from most of his opponents in the ring.

This will be a WAR, I think Antonio will use his experience in this type of fight & wear down Molina. Then again Molina could just jump on DeMarco early & try to overwhelm him??

    09/08/12: Bookmarked!

DeMarco is the better boxer of the 2 but both enjoy a slugfest and that could favour Molina. Great fight.

i like Demarcos style. hes more complete than a lot of the mexican fighters nowadays. a warrior but patient and picks his shots well. he can box when he needs to and slugg when he needs to.

DeMarco has chin, Molina's doesn't. DeMarco can bang Molina can bang. DeMarco can box, Molina can't.

DeMarco by KO mid to late rounds.

Molina KOing that loud mouth Lundy made me an instant fan however Demarco is on a very good run right now and it will be hard to stop the roll he is on

Molina doesn't have chin? :huh What the hell? That's about the only thing he has going for him, along with power. He's a poor man's Brandon Rios in that respect.

Agreed he has no finesse as a boxer. Tony is faster, more crafty, hits almost as hard, and can take a punch himself. Agreed he probably stops Molina late (or shuts him out) but if the stoppage comes it won't be a 10-count KO. It'll be Goossen pulling the plug as his dude gets thumped to a stubborn pulp without probably ever going down.

:think I just realized this is a match-up of two guys with the exact same names as - but no relation to - famous boxing champions of yesteryear. :yep

(Boricua super featherweight John John Molina of the 80's/90's and Italian welterweight Tony DeMarco of the 50's/60's)

****ed up thing is, to confuse matters further, both use the names their famous predecessors are known by as their nicknames - probably intentionally in both cases.

So this is going to be on the undercard of Ward vs Dawson? This second half of the year is turning out to be amazing if all goes well.

everytime I see demarco continue to prove himself to be the top guy at his weight, it makes me wonder what edwin valero could have become. he showed unbelievable power and a crazy, unorthodox style against demarco, and a chin.
