Fair treatment isn't exactly a quality that springs to mind when thinking about recent Mares opponents...

One of the biggest promoters in the sport calling a classic BOXING performance like that 'running'. No wonder the sport is in the state it is. Lot of fans don't know what they're seeing when they're seeing it too. It's sad, but hey, Rigo won't give a ****. He's enjoying his belts and his money today.

Fans never lie, those booos will long echo in the career of Rigo.

The reporter didn't call him an idiot. That reporter was Kevin Iole and he was basically saying that fans on social media were calling anyone who scored the fight close an idiot. I know he didn't call Arum an idiot because he also scored the fight 114-113. I have no problem with Arum scoring the fight close(although I had Rigo winning 11 rounds), but I do have a real problem with him basically trashing his own fighter. Bob is a salesman. He's supposed to be selling the public on his fighters.

This is very very sad, absolutely disrespectful to Rigo and a pretty ominous sign for his career.

He needs to do what Gamboa did. Just get the **** out and do it asap.

I didn't say Rigo should sign to a record label.

Just try to negotiate something with Oscar.

Once again Bobby shows his loyalty in a game where people in his position shouldn't.
(Obvious Arum wanted Donaire to prevail)

    Rigo is co-promoted by w/Caribe...
I think it's very possible we see Rigo on Showtime next?
(Unless Bob snuck in an option for next fight clause)

Bob has a point. Punches and KO sells. Always had and always will.

But Bob needs to be creative and package Rigo correctly. Defense sells in many sports. It just needs to be packaged correctly.

Also, not to mention many fighters are going to run away from Rigo. He will likely be able to offer big money to his opponents and almost guarantee making them looking foolish.

And if he does get a fighter, it will likely be criticized for being a cherry pick.

Too bad for Rigo. His styles is for the hardcore fans. Lets face it. Mainstream wants their blood and gore.

Rigo's gameplan was for Donaire. Donaire is pretty huge even when stepping up to super bantam. If Guillermo fights any else he will KTFO, and they can sell that. All he has to do is wait for an opening, and if Donaire had that many openings everyone else will have plenty more.

I was very entertained by the fight. I enjoy seeing a fight in which slight movement negates attacks and sets up counters (real boxing). I thought they exaggerated on claiming rigo ran all night. One thing is clear is that Nonito's past success was due to athleticism and not skill. I expect Nonito to fire Robert Garcia and see him hire Virgil or Robert Guerrero's dad just because his wife is in denial.

I think that Nonito should take a few tune up fights and work on conditioning and skill before facing a name.

According to Wiki Rigo's contract is up on July 13 2013 so maybe we can hope for Rigo vs Mares
