Because he now respects, and more importantly understands the sport.

Its easy to say "its just a bunch of gays rolling around" but in reality MMA is equally as tough as boxing, and at times equally as entertaining.

I will always be 80/20 in boxings favour, but MMA is an amazing sport to watch.

It baffles me how people who watch boxing dont give MMA the time of day, becasue essentially it requires the same level of dedication from the fighters, has some great KOs, and although there are many differences, there are also many positive similarities.

Anyone who watches boxing should embrace the sport.

Now look below for the "MMA is for gays" posts

Its age man. i learned that from my brother and father. They were angry people when they were young but as they got older they got softer as well. Its just natural.

It's a business move, plenty of people who run UFC were involve with boxing. Hopkins knows there is money to be made, its just another way to make money and yes that guy giving the interview says all the time he is a huge boxing fan, but the truth is known.

He means he respects the two most dominate and skilled fighters in the group who with some work and effort might make it in the world or boxing, Evans and Silva.

Yes,this has to be some business-related move for Bernard, because I know a true student of the sport like himself would never have any genuine interest/respect in regards to MMGAY.

    MMGAY fans = closet homosexuals
    Boxing fans = never confused.

Like Bernard says, if you don't respect it you're a fool. And you are a fool.

Hate these debates...but no way this is true. Perhaps in years to come, when MMA has been around for a generation.
But currently...no way. No where near the amateur background requirement.
