I can invest in any thing, some investments are complete **** like a gambler investing in the lottery, or someone trying to turn a profit on penny stocks, but they are investments due to a person getting a payout from that event.

A partner and a client are two different things and sit of the negotiation table. For example, If I ran a law firm my partners would sit on one side of the table when negotiating payment with a potential client. A client hires someone to do work for them, a partners do work, usually from clients, together whether per job or overall during the life of a partnership.

The average cost of college, lets say is $30K Total for people graduating this upcoming May. And lets say with interest it gets bumped to $40K, The amount they earn in their lifetime with their level of college degree is $1M and the amount they would have earned during the same time period without going to school is $800K, so what you do is you add the cost of going to school with the amount earned without a college education, then subtract that total of $840K from the $1M earned due to College to get the real return on investment of $160K. So for the amount I spent at school, I'm getting 4 times the amount back.

Now is the math exact and will everyone's life work out that way? No, but it does give an indication of whether going to that college for that major is worth it. And it also doesn't take into account the various non-financial returns on it that come with college such at networks, sex, etc.
