Ding, what happened man? Why did you leave CW? Trouble making weight? Money? I am sorry for my harsh words earlier but you were one of my favourite fighters a few years back and then you fell off the face of the earth. I know no one on this board knows what its like to fight at the highest level so it is easy to criticize. Good luck for what ever the future will brings.
That's what it looked like, Ding. Smart move by you. Wlad seems to have massive power. I think Manny Steward said he is a harder natural puncher than Lennox Lewis, which is high praise.
Thanks for responding man. What other HW's known for their power have you sparred with for comparison? Vyrchys, Helenius, Haye etc? and what CW's have you fought or sparred you would say have power that translates at HW? Fair enough. Looking at the top 20 HW's or so who would you say has a clear edge in those departments, honestly curious? Boytsov seems to be class and along with respectable hanspeed it's his counterpunching ability coupled with it that makes it formitable.
Ding, hope you got a nice check for that. Still think you can make noise at CW, not big noise, but noise.
I think a guy like Chambers would box circles around Boytsov. He'd probably lose to Povetkin, Adamek, Solis and Thompson too. I'm not even sure he wins against Pulev.
Boytsov is dangerous, but he needs to step it up NOW, the time is right. Props to Darnell Wilson, I hope he fights another fight or two, where he wins.. and then calls it a career on a win. He's a great guy and an admirable fighter. I just hope he doesn't stay in there for the quick bucks... his health is far more important than any dollars.
chambers would give him problems.and if povotkins chins hold up against boytsov he beats him aswell..solis chins seem shakey and adamak dosnt move well enough i think boytsov would hurt him...
If I didn't see an actual fight taking place, I would have thought I was looking at a tennis or golf match. I've NEVER seen a crowd that silent before. Even the announcer was whispering. Weird.
I respect Ding for coming on here and posting especially after a loss but if your career is boxing then why not be in some sort of shape year round? I mean taking a fight on short notice you wont be ready for that particular opponent but at least keep your weight down, keep in practice, at least in the gym
