That's according to an interview I just read....Briggs said he was 248lbs....considering
fight night is about 3 weeks away, he could be even lower than that at the weigh-in.

If true, it would be his lowest weight since 2001.

I don't know if I can link to it here, but you can find it by searching on Google News.

edit: Here's a new video Briggs just posted...skip to 1:40 and you can see he's ripped....at least he's coming into the fight in shape.

Looking forward to this fight! Go Vitali!

Briggs said on his facebook "I'm gonna bust him up so bad it will look like Freddy Kruger is his cut man" Or something like that:lol:

Briggs will give it a good go I'm sure

makes no difference, much like it didn't make a difference what kind of shape Peter came in against Wlad. He was in fine shape and got destroyed, as Shannon will.

I have recently been watching a lot of Briggs's fights and he is ****ing terrible. A lot of talent with his fast hands and power but he cannot throw punches at all... even past the second round.

He got whooped by Jameel Mccline... who isn't bad at all but come on.. he is not on Vitali's level

Conclusion - Briggs stands NO chance... not even a punchers chance because Vitali has an iron chin

I dont believe it, he will still come in as the 270lb lazy ass that he is.

This fight should be Vitali v Peter all over again, only with Briggs gassing earlier than Peter. But Vitali's getting older by the fight. You never know what one big shot from Briggs could do.

Well, even at the press conference, which was a few weeks ago, he looked in decent shape....

My bet is that Briggs surprises a lot of people with his lower weight (but obviously still loses).

Briggs will never be in good shape. His stamina is and always will be terrible.

Hey, at least the guy is showing up for his title shot in the best possible shape he can be at this point... He still loses,,, but rounds 1-2 could be fun!

Predicto - exactly. Don't go to the fridge for a beer during the first two rounds. After that, it should be a typical Vitali systematic beatdown of Briggs until Shannon quits on his stool around RD8.
