Video Cotto working mits with Steward....

You mean the guy who met Cotto through a forum?

 

that guy and the other idiot who pretended to be his coach in the pac fight when he has never trained a fighter in his life.

 

Steward has always highlighted Judah, Mosley and Clottey's positive moments in the fights against Cotto while overlooking Cotto's.....
all the while chomping at the bit for an opportunity to train Cotto.

So it is going to be interesting to see what takes place in the corner deep into a fight.
Will he re-inforce Cotto's confidence and mindset or will he bail on him like he did to Hilmer Kenty and Dujaun Johnson.

I still believe it is a good move for Cotto....Steward is a damn good trainer!!!

He's gonna learn more about strategic clinching now, guaranteed.

And the guy's a great offensive trainer.

Cotto's gonna learn some new stuff, and get his bad habits corrected.

yes. Usually he has a talk before hand to let guys know how it will go. He will watch and talk to everyone in the camp to make sure everything is done right. I got a call from him about cooking, but Im cooking for Vitali next (in 2 weeks) so manny will be talking to the chef they have now to see what they do now and how cotto feels. He has also asked me if he can contact me (or the chef will) for advise if needed

Make no mistake. manny will be in charge and watch everything until he is comfortable that things are being done the way he wants. He will also incorporate things that Cotto does now that he likes

 

Better yet. He will teach him how to NOT be punched:good:good

 

im glad to see Cotto training with Manny. I was skeptical at first but i believe this was a good move. Cotto gonna take that belt June 5th.

I hope he teaches him how not to get ****ed up by the uppercut. Cotto is a sucker for a quick uppercut.

 

people really make a big deal that steward is training cotto like if steward was something special.. there're hundreds of trainers with the same knowledge and ability steward has in PR alone.. but they dont have the big name.. steward is an overrated trainer that is living of the reputation he got from the only boxer he made and that was tommy hearns.. since then all he does is train boxers already at their peak.. and anybody can do that
