hopefully he listens to his corner while steward makes his assessment to what cotto is doing and doing wrong... not like buddy does. ....some buddy eh?
Cotto's uncle was a great trainer, with a proven track record with him. His last one with Manny? Not so much. That dude might have been great in the gym in regards to conditioning but he was tactically inept. This is why people are excited about Steward. Not only is he a better tactical trainer but he will be worth his weight in gold in the corner DURING the fight - spouting actual useful information. I honestly think that Cotto vs Pac should have been closer if Cotto's uncle was there. (though Pac probably still wins from what I saw no matter who was Cotto's trainer back then). Even if you think Steward trained great fighters at their peak, at the very least he did not take away from that. Cotto's Buddy? Not so much.
Yep. From the moment I heard Steward and Cotto would be working together, I was glad. They are the perfect fit, as far as I can tell. They'll mesh well together.
Yes he does and he will keep everyone in line. Very good move for Cotto too bad he didnt do it for Pac, I think he would have had a better chance. Steward will definitely get him punching faster again instead of that bull**** Santiago had him doing.
No he wont, he might now with Steward in his corner, but Foreman is tall and rangy and hard to track down.
No. :blood Anyway, I don't think Stewards is a great match for Miguel Cotto, but at the very least Manny should be able to rejuvenate that beautiful Cotto jab.
man if its Tommy Brooks vs Emanuel Steward in the corners, thats more interesting than the fight itself.
