no...I mean that in a good way. ...from a short demo clip.. you see cotto about to be told to watch for the left hook. hopefully he absorbs something from steward and not just forget everything taught when pressured like the mayweather senior/hatton fiasco
I was back in the mid 90's. Ive been around both Brooks and Steward, they are leagues above their peers.
You shut up  But back on track, I really don't think he's gonna help Cotto at all. Cotto admits he lost the fire to fight. I think he moved up and became a less effective fighter with his style that got him there and he got disheartened by it. He isn't made to be a "slick" boxer, he is short with stubby arms and not fast footwork. He's still very good, but the style that made him great has not worked against Mosley, Margo, Clottey or Pacman. All of those guys were harder and sturdier then him so he had to outbox them. That isn't him. And realizing that damaged him mentally I think.
Steward likes to work with offensive minded boxer punchers. Cotto meets these standards perfectly regardless of his height. Steward works more on positioning than slipping punches, so he will help Cotto a lot.
He needs to teach Cotto how to hold like Wlad, in order to save stamina and he needs to get his confidence back, which fighting at 154 won't do, he needs to fight some weak ass welterweights for that.
