I cant wait to watch this @ the oracle. To bay area boxing fans sog is an appropriate name for ward. He really is gods gift to bay area boxing. We have been starving for live fights here. Wish donaire would remember his roots and where he came from and fight a few times in oakland as well. Since ward we have had miranda, kessler, green, and bika.

And then challenges Ward at 168 like a boss.

Sadly he just kicked himself in the nuts by doing that. Ward will push Dawson hard in the fight and force Dawson to fight a tough fight, I doubt Dawson will be in top condition for the fight due to draining himself

Even in San Jose they dont have fights like they used to
I used to be out there all the time watching cards at the smaller halls packed with Mexican boxers and Asian kick boxers
Barely any cards at all any more

 

this is gonna be one of the most boring fights ever, i doubt ill be watching.

 

How much were tix for ward-dawson? Btw, u going to guerrero's fight @ the tank? Yeah i remember seeing some kickboxing i think at sj convention about 6 yrs ago put on by iska i think. Dont even know if its still around anymore.

Plus Im going to UFC in San Jose this Wednesday so Im gonna be broke

 

His opinion is completely moot. This is a guy who thinks Glass Jaw Khan is exciting for running like Usain Bolt in a backward marathon.

That being said, I don't like this fight. If you want to fight a guy in the next division up you do it on his terms at his weight, you don't drain him down and then fight him. I am beginning to warm to Ward because he can actually fight when he drops the spoiling tactics and gets down to business, but this is a ***** move. I'll watch because I think it will be a good tilt stylistically, but if Ward wants the LHW Champion he should fight him at that division. It's not nearly as impressive otherwise.
