71% say no? The voters must be from England. His chin wasn't the best. Some will say this is the heavyweight division and it only takes one shot. Maybe so, but Holmes took big shots and went down, and got up. As did Ali.

I don't think Lennox had the best chin.

 

Lewis took flush punches off of Tua, Mason, Mercer, Briggs, Bruno, who are all good punchers. If hes chin was that bad it would've been found out in those fights.

Lewis also did get up vs McCall but the referee waved it off, some say it was a bit premature but that's up for debate.

Overall I would say his chin is slightly above average maybe 6 or 6.5 out of 10 ?

For an elite level fighter I don’t think his chin was that great. He was stopped twice by single punches. Also he was rocked by Briggs (an overrated fighter if there ever was one) and Vitali an overrated puncher imo.
Was it terrible no, but it’s not as good as Tyson’s, Foremans, Ali’s, Holmes, and a few others. He wisely retired when he did, or he probably would of suffered some late career ko losses.

 

No. I believe that this thing about Lennox having a glass jaw is a miconception. It was n't his jaw that was the problem it was his defence. When he was overconfident and complacent,he tended to hang his jaw out like a housewife hanging out washing. The battle with Ray Mercer should have banished all doubts about Lennox' chin and toughness. Not in the class of an Ali,Hagler or Holmes but his beard was tough enough.

 

I never understood when people go on about Tysons so called (Amazing chin) Tyson got stopped way more times than Lewis did. Including by Lewis himself.

 

Tyson took a beating in all his losses.

Lewis had decent punch resistance imo ,the 2 punches that ko'd him might very well have done the same to anyone.
