Video in the link. To those still hoping/thinking this fight is a possibility, give it up permanently. Even if these guys come to negotiate both sides, especially Mayweather's, will have a long list of deluded demands still intact and possibly increasing. Only way this fight happens is if Mayweather loses to Alvarez. Even then, a rematch with Alvarez, retirement or sticking with the deluded demands are more likely.

There's no reason outside of Money for Mayweather to take that fight.

He never wanted the fight. He saw Manny beat up everyone he ducked while he was 'retired' and that's that.

Sure he does and it's true that Ortiz and Guerrero were joke fights. However, I don't think you will consider Marquez, Mosley, Cotto and soon Alvarez as joke easy "money" fights. Boxing is a business, you take some easy and difficult fights here and there. You never go hard all the way otherwise your career and life will cut short.

He has to fight somebody. Ortiz and Guerrero were good wins. They were championship caliber fighters in their prime. Pacquiao is clearly better then both of them, but it's not worth it for Mayweather to fight him. To get the fight done, he'd have to cede some control to Arum. Why would he do that and put money in Arum's pocket to fight a guy whom he would get little credit for beating? He's better off fighting guys like Matthysse and Thurman.

    DLH - Mayweather opponent
    Hatton - Mayweather opponent
    Mosley - Mayweather opponent
Marquez above 135 - Mayweather opponent

Sure, Mayweather did find many ways to kill the Pacquiao fight but what you're trying to say is absolute garbage.

No it's not. He's used every excuse in the book. Don't want to fight him because does not like his promoter. Scared about his health. Drug accusations. He's full of ****.

You must have forgotten Arum's stadium that had to be built, the terrible 23432 stitch 22 layer cut that needed 6 months to heal or the amount of time he needed to gather investors to make the fight in Dubai...and then there is 2009 :good

I don't think Mayweather will ever fight Pac either. If you look at the video of his now infamous rant, he expresses disbelief over how Pac 'walked through Cotto', and how Pac could knock Mosley down when Cotto couldn't do it. I doubt Pac's crushing KO over Hatton helped, or the beating that Hoya received. I think Mayweather believes he can beat Pac (and he would rightfully be favoured) but he knows he might get hurt more than usual in that fight, which is why he also says his health is more important.

Blame Pac and Arum they did everything in their power to not make the fight. Fought for years against drug testing but now agree to drug testing for Rios. That right there tells you everything you need to know about who didn't want the fight.:deal
