    Instant stardom?

Wins first world title at 19. Ten years later starts to receive widespread media attention after beating Oscar. Hardly a overnight success story.

Mayweather gives fights to washed up boxers such as Mosley and Cotto (who Pacquiao destroyed)
He also fights no-names such as Guerrero and Ortiz (who Pacquiao would destroy)

and he gives excuses that Pac is no longer fightable. How does this make sense?

Losses don't automatically make someone a bad fighter. Hagler lost and drew a couple early on in his career but is now widely recognised as one of the best middleweights who ever lived but I'm sure you in your infinite wisdom you just dismiss his entire career because of those early learning experiences.

As for how Pacquiao has done since he became a "media darling" he has lost to JMM who was giving him fits long before he was a mainstream star and to Bradley who somehow got the decision in a very easy fight to score.

Correct. He just got knocked out cold and many consider him to be on the slide.

Well if that's how you decide who is going to win fights what's the point of Floyd facing anyone?
