Indy Fairgrounds; my dad and uncle ray were there along with my Korean War buddy I met about 10 years ago. A few tidbits about their fight: London wasn't title shot material at the time, let's face it. The powers that be offered Cooper 75K plus expenses, to come stateside and fight Floyd. Henry balked and asked for 150K so he was out. Brian took the 75K (the boxing board in England wouldn't sanction the bout so he had to, literally, sneak into the US for the fight). My war buddy said Ingo was there with his actress girlfriend running around the ring throughout taking pictures. Lastly, I find it interesting, in retrospect, that Floyd (with all the pampering Cus shielded him with-not Floyd's fault) went to NY to fight Ingo only a month and a half later! I know that London didn't present any challenge but the fight went 11 rounds (thanks to Floyd's constant passivity).
If Floyd had somehow worked himself up into that state of mind for the Ingo rematch, he would have slaughtered poor London....but it took him getting stopped to be that way.
