Suggesting that he isn't told to kill himself is hardly defending him, it's just being a decent human being I'd have thought. For the record I don't agree with him at all, and obviously know the result was robbery, some things can just go way too far though and I don't like to see it
In fact, Canelo (as challenger) got a guaranteed rematch fight, just for signing the contract. Just follow the money. Fixed sham fights, followed by a guaranteed rematch fight, is not good for boxing. Back in the olden days, such shenanigans got Champions stripped of their titles by the ABC's. ("The WBA, formed in 1962, had striped Ali of the crown he won from Sonny Liston on February 25, 1964, after Ali signed for a return match with Liston in disregard of the WBA’s rule against return bouts".)
Nah honestly I’m ain’t saying there was no foul play but that video doesn’t show anything other than Abel saying it’s good for boxing, listen to it again,it’s the same voice all way through.
Have you got a double profile or something? I'm confused, you replied to at quote that was from Theydontboxnomore or whatever, but with this Angler Andrew account?
Lol no I’m confusing myself here,I somehow clicked on the same answer to him twice so I deleted the comment and changed it lol
This is based on the Canelo rule of giving him everything and his opponents nothing right?even Paulie M said about this fight that if you want you can always find something to give the guy if you want to but it’s not a reflection of how it went. I get what you’re thinking about his eye catching, quality shots n all but does thirty seconds of success win you the round when for the remainder you’ve been put on the ropes?
Of course many of these rounds were close enough to be argued either way. I gave Canelo 1,2,3,4,10,11,12. 4 was a toss up, could go either way, but I thought Canelo edged it. Round 5 - 9 were G's best rounds, you could give G those 5, but Canelo landed the better punches in rounds 6-9. So it comes down to if you like quality hard punching or if you like volume / aggression. Round 5 Canelo was winning halfway through, but G landed that shot with Canelo on the ropes and finished well so I gave G that one. 6, 8 and 9 were very close, though Canelo landed the better punches, G was slightly more active. 7 G did some of his best work, especially with landing jabs. Round 1-3 & 10-12 I thought Canelo won pretty clear. Hard to give any of those to Golovkin, but you could give some of 4-9 to Canelo based on clean effective punching. Paulie statement about it being a reflection of how it went has little to do with quality punching. Paulie thought he deserved to beat Broner for outlanding him with volume, but Broner won the decision based on landing the more impressive punches. (the more eye catching, quality shots) Of course in fights this close we can disagree on who we thought won, but at the end of the day there needs to be more respect for opposing views to your own. It's arguable either way, the draw was in no way a robbery. I thought Canelo won it pretty clearly, but if you thought Golovkin won "I get what you're thinking" about aggression and throwing more punches, and causing Canelo to back up and all that. It's all about putting forth intelligent points to support your argument as to who you thought won and why.
