It has everything to do with his style, dummy. Look at the form of the punches he chooses to centre his game around. It creates a thudding power rather than a sharp, Jackson esque type. He seeks to break his opponent down whilst remaining responsible at all times - something that cannot be said of Jackson. Incidentally, it's working for GGG because he has 24 consecutive knockouts or something. His approach to point-scoring is Julio Cesar Chavez-esque (106 wins, 86 KO's).

I agree. Golovkin hasn't landed a haymaker to KO a guy yet. Completely fluid.

    Bags..don't hit back...

Anyone know what gloves he's using? They look like a really good fight and I'm thinking of getting a pair.

Heavyweights today are **** after 4 rds. If Golovkin came in at his rehydration of around 170 I think he could take on the 240 lbrs. Chin doesn't get better as you gain weight but punching power does. All GGG has to do is get on the inside and wear them down to the body and they fall like a tree. Nobody is going to risk getting close enough to GGG where they could clinch like Klitschko does.

Edit: When I say 240 lbrs I don't mean the top 10 just C level 240 lbrs no way GGG gets the W against any top heavyweights.

Yes come on we all know he's very strong for a middleweight but there's weight classes for a reason,Gennady knows this more than anyone as he's not fought above 160,yes I'm a fan but let's not get carried away.

Thurman sounds like a Jack Russell every time he punches lol, sickening power from GGG no wonder nobody wants any of that, note to Canelo age isn't gonna diminish that power.

Funny thing is he would be a heavyweight in most era's the guy looks about 185 there that's the same size as 49-0, Rocky Marciano not to mention he's taller with longer reach than The Rock

GGG is not 5'10.5" and he is not 185 there. I saw a picture where he ballooned up to 180 and was fat af. Nothing close to the Rocks 185lbs of pure conditioned muscle. Also, GGG doesn't hit half as hard as Marciano did.

If he's not 5ft10.5 he must be 5ft11 because he's clearly taller than the likes of Macklin and Geale, barely shorter than Murray tbf.

He's the same build as Murray and taller than Eubank, Benn, Toney and Hagler.

I can't understand how people claim he's a welterweight mascarading as a middleweight, the guy is one of the biggest blokes at 160!!!!

The Rock had superhuman stamina and was one of the very best inside fighters so he would have a huge stylistic advantage over GGG, for sure GGG has no chance against him, but they are the same natural size.

pay no attention to these clowns...one day hes a "small mw" when they need a reason to excuse not fighting ward.....when you ask about a canelo catchweight they get all like "thats not fair" somehow thinking golovkin is in some power position and a boxing god......

one minute golovkin is saying "its not about the money" then his fans are telling us he'd be crazy to take a 10 million dollar stake in that fight.....one minute loeffler is telling u zurdo is the best fight out there for ggg a week later ggg is saying "he needs more fights more names"...one minute sanchez is telling u "168 would be his best weight(which would contradict the stance his fans have regarding his size)"...the next ggg is saying "oh im 160 thats where i should be"...lol...these guys are worse than a 2010 pac, arum, roach and koncz

only thing GGG is DECIMATING is his career

GGG was about a half an inch taller than Brook who is like 5'8". There is a picture of Amir Khan and Brook facing off and Brook is barely taller than Khan who is like 5'7-7.5".

Most heights reported are dead wrong because they want there fighter to look intimidating. You see it all the time in other sports, it's for recruiting purposes.

Also, Rocky was definitely not one of the best inside fighters ever he was a brawler who broke guys down with shear volume, bull-like stamina, and a great chin.
