(video) Haye confronts Wlad in London Shopping Mall

So the casual fan in America knows who a 32 year old 2 belt holder is in the heavyweight division, but hasn't got a clue about the man who holds all the belts at Cruiser?

I don't believe that.

 

I am not acting like that at all. What I am saying is that the Heavyweight Division is much different than other divisions. It makes no sense for Wlad, who is already considered a huge heavyweight, to take a fight with someone from a lower division who is unproven, and get absolutely no credit for beating him afterwards due to the size, and weight jump. Now, if Haye is to prove himself by fighting, not running his mouth in interviews and shopping malls... then the fight would make sense, and Wlad would actually have an upside for taking the fight.

 

He actually wasn't doing OK, he was getting systematically broken down and that liver shot was the final straw. That's no shame on Oscar he looked tiny next to Hopkins, and Hopkins was a great champion. Haye won't look quite so small next to WALD, and WALD isn't a great champion. Also Oscar wasn't the only fight out there at the time for Hopkins, he was the easiest fight for the biggest money, simple as that.

Calling Haye a loud mouth chav is just incorrect, sorry. He's a decent guy. Yes he has an ego like all fighters but I've seen much worse, and I've seen guys be FAR more disrespectful to future opponents than Haye was to WALD in that video. It didn't seem to bother WALD too much so why are the WALD fans getting all hysterical about it?

 

the funny thing is haye SAID he wants to fight wlad NEXT YEAR and widdow is trying to tell us wlad cant fight haye because of his 2 fights that are lined up this year

 

I really don't care what you believe. Wlad has been a highly regarded, and highly televised fighter for YEARS. He has fought many times in the United States, and has a very well recognized name. Haye sits back and fights in the UK, in the unpopular cruiserweight division... and isn't exactly turning heads over here. It's just the truth. I am not saying that he isn't talented. I am saying that if he wants to make that fight big, he needs to go about it in the proper manner. Get some respectable heavyweight opponents... get his name out there with BIG WINS in the heavyweight division. Hell, even go for a different title while Wlad is sorting out his mandatories. Bum rushing Wlad in a shopping mall and running your mouth like a 5th grade kid with a low self esteem doesn't exactly prove your worth in the heavyweight division.

 

Then why doesn't Haye go call out a top fighter who is available to fight him? Wouldn't that make more sense? I bet he won't run his mouth like that to other guys, because most people aren't so classy and would check his chin.

 

Believe it. No one over here knows who the hell Haye is. He's only been on t.v here once. Wlad has been fighting on HBO for years. Wlad is well ahead of Haye in terms of popularity in the States

 

and haye hasn't made his US debut yet, just watch haye's debut he will be turning major heads:yep

Oh please.....we'll find out whether Haye can back up his words when he gets in the ring with WALD. He's done pretty well with backing up his talk up to now.

Trailer boy? Wow, you're cool. You are throwing insults at me... seems to me that you are the one with the anger issues right now. I personally couldn't care less about Haye because I know that he can run his childish mouth all he wants, but it isn't going to get him the fight unless he earns it in the ring. I am simply speaking on this issue, as that is the reason that I come onto this site from time to time. To discuss boxing and the issues surrounding the sport. My opinion on this issue is well stated. In a few minutes I will be off to something else and enjoying my night.
