i totally agree!!!! haye is a very talented guy but he needs to prove himself in the heavyweight division before running his mouth off!!!!

 

Yes, we will find out. If Haye makes it that far. To be completely honest, I don't think that Haye could beat Ibragimov. I am impressed with Haye as a Cruiser, and I think that he could be a dangerous heavyweight, but I think that he is being overblown.

WALD is a highly regarded fighter in the USA is he? I beg to differ, from the majority of posts I read in this thread. Maybe it's true that the average casual fan hasn't heard of Haye, I've got no reason to dispute that as I'm not over there....but the average casual fan generally knows **** all about the sport as you know yourself. The average casual fan in England thinks Hatton is the best 147 fighter in the world when he hasn't even proved himself to be the best 140 fighter in the UK, for example.

I accept that WALD has 2 mandatories to fight, I wouldn't argue that point. Haye will no doubt fight a few heavies on his way to WALD, what I don't accept is all the nonsense being talked about Haye for getting in WALDS face and promoting the fight. ****s sake it's happened for the last 50 years, and a lot worse than that too atsch

I'll have to take your word for it. Maybe they should show a few re-runs of Haye's fights over there to generate excitement for a Haye/WALD matchup. Haye's doing his best to promote it obviously - and that's all this thread is about in all truth, the WALD fans are getting their panties in a bunch over Haye daring to suggest he could KO their boy

There'd have been a thread to defend Wlad's honor every five minutes if Toney had ever gotten to him. Wlad fans should be thrilled Haye is all they have to deal with.

 

Yeah....you might be right. Haye might get KTFO in his next fight, who knows. It wouldn't be against Sultan though I guarantee that much.

What I don't understand is why people are calling him an idiot, saying he's a bad person, has no class etc when all he's done is the same as what HUNDREDS of fighters have done in the past. Watch the video again, Haye doesn't really say anything classless to WALD, certainly not on a Mayorga level anyway. All I'm saying is he's a decent guy, he may or may not be a good match at heavyweight for WALD but hatting on him for this is just stupidity personified. People will tell you that Haye used to post on the British forum on here and he's a down to earth, sound bloke.

 

I don't have a job. I actually own my own business. Congrats on your job. There actually isn't a trailer within 20 miles of where I live. Thanks for caring though... and once again, congrats on having a job. That is probably a huge accomplishment for you. Personally, I love making my own hours, setting my own prices, and making shitloads of money. That's just me though, you obviously have different goals.

All I was saying was that Haye had 1 fight at heavyweight already against a supposedly decent fighter and won by KO in the first round. Oscar had 1 fight at 160 against a pretty average guy and got beaten on pretty much everyones cards. Yes Oscar was a 'name' I won't deny that, but he didn't belong at 160. Haye isn't even really a 'name' over here in the UK at the moment which I think is a ****ing shame considering he's only 27 and has achieved more than Calslappy or Lewis had achieved before they were in their early to mid-30's, belt-wise. Haye should be a big name but isn't and that's not his fault, he's shown no fear in making the big fights and he's showing no fear now in facing up to WALD.

Love it or hate it, boxing needs guys like Haye.
