Thanks Willie! I frequently you see you commenting and engaging in discussions there, and I appreciate it.

I think I recall even seeing you defend me as an unbiased source.

Good vid again, and nice touch with the lineage song :D

I expected it happened more often, but it seems to be down to "rematch clauses" for the most part.
For the fight, I don't think Wlad can do any worse as he did in the first. Even mauling caveman style and then gassing out after 5 if he didn't catch him, had been a better option to what he showed last time.

    Thanks Robney. :good

I had always thought Tunney-Dempsey was the first example of it, but didn't realize Jack had a fight in between. That's a detail that tends to get glossed over in specials I've seen on their rivalry. Either that or my memory is lacking.

    Thanks for doing/posting the vid.

I was thinking along the same lines that Wlad will probably need to stop Fury. However, what's the latest on Fury's conditioning? Wlad always comes in in top shape, but this time especially he will be at the top of what he can get to these days. If he wasn't completely focused for Fury 1 (as Lewis wasn't for Rahman 1), he will be this time. Who still has more gas in the tank in the late rounds may be a telling factor IMO. What could be the greater impediment ... age or blubber.

Rumsfeld, I really enjoy these videos of yours. I recently watched the Oscar De la Hoya six controversial fights video and I have subscribed to your youtube page. Excellent work sir.

You are. unbiased. You pose questions for these guys to think about instead of bandwagon hopping. Plus if you are wrong you admit it.
That is hard to come by around here.

Tyson Fury is the best ever.

His knowledge of heavyweight history is impeccable
His style is not definitive and somwhat impetuous
He is just ferocious praise be to allah!

Wlad hasn't got it in him KO fury...knockdown possible...and decision victory yes...Wlad forcing the pace on Fury will backfire.

Very detailed and descriptive ana logy! I too agree that Wlad is going to have to win with a KO.

It seems that a lot of these immediate title rematches were fueled by the magnitude of the upset. Clay/Liston, Ali/Spinks, Lewis/Rahman were big oddsmakers favorites. Even Klitschko was a solid favorite in his fight with Fury.

I wonder how many of the rematches had dramatic shifts in the odds for the rematches? I'm not positive but I believe Ali was an underdog in both Liston fights as was Rahman in both of his fights with Lewis.

For Fury/Klitscho II the oddsmakers seem to be sagging towards Fury.

BTW nice rendition of Billy Joel. Really cracked me up.

My History teacher in Middle School used We Didn't Start The Fire as a an educational tool, a way to encourage us kids to learn about history, of course all the black kids hated listening to him because he wasn't rap. Nice similar use of it Rummy.

Good solid video, I watched it last night but was too tired to comment. And yeah I think Wlad will go all out and try for the KO, either he goes down in a blaze of glory or he makes Fury a Johansson like footnote in the history books, I'm going with Wlad by KO, I have faith, it may be blind, but I believe Wald has one great performance left in him.

    Thanks, marting! :thumbsup

Good observation on the odds. I hadn't considered that angle at all.
