Tyson fought how he was instructed by Rooney and was in great shape, he wasn`t in Tokyo and his trainers were crap.
Everything looks great when it works and it only works if the opponent cannot anticipate the moves. Any fighter is only as great as his opponent lets him look.
correct. And when you look close at it---how many of those Tyson victims are what you would term good defensively?
RUMS!!! You still in the boxing business? How the heck have you been? Probably a couple of years since we've talked. Remember these days? This content is protected This content is protected
Was an amazing performance .A text book use of jab and follow up punches.I can't believe it was nearly thirty years ago !!!!!!!
It's disappointing to hear that Ali may have been less than the thorough professional in his approach.
In the 70's, there were probably only four fights for which he prepared in a thoroughly professional manner: Norton 2, Frazier 2, Foreman and Spinks 2. And this was after the lay-off, in his 30's. Just to put the whole "Tyson post Rooney"-thing in perspective.
Wow I`m shocked, Foreman threw way more shots and was more aggressive, Tyson looked half asleep, Foreman also landed more shots specifically to the body, the punch stats for that fight would have been much closer than Tyson v Douglas, the rounds were closer and Tyson lost every round clearly to Douglas besides the 8th which was another round he was losing until the knockdown, fucjk the judges, they were full of ****, Foreman from the li fight would have destroyed Tyson from 1990 easily and Ali would have beat that Tyson far easier than he beat George, I`m shocked, I tought Tyson was awful that night, he loked stoned.
