Of course Beterbiev's good enough to beat Bivol. He's not exactly unskilled or one dimensional. Then you throw in the brutal power...

    True 50/50 fight.

Of course he's good enough to beat him. Both are similar sizes, Bivol is younger, Beterbiev punches harder, that'll be a top fight to see.

He's already beaten a man better than Bivol.

The way you've framed that question has incurred the wrath of my main man Ramzan Kadyrov, Rummy.

Agree. I think Gvozdyk was better than Bivol. THAT SAID Gvozdyk may not have been better than Bivol AGAINST BETERBIEV. Bivol will look to be a ghost for most of the fight. Whereas Gvozdyk really fought Beterbiev and gave Artur lots of chances to land his own thunder. Gun to the head I pick Bivol over Beterbiev right now. He's not a nice stylistic matchup for the 38 year old.

The age is a factor. To be honest, I can only see an under 35 Beterbiev stopping Bivol. It's the only outcome I really see happening. At 38 I dont know. But a prime Beterbiev struggles with the movement for a few rounds and then gets to Bivol as he has nothing to get Beterbiev off of him. Beterbiev is just too strong. It would take a guy like Kovalev to hit him hard as hell to deter Beterbiev.

I actually think Beterbiev is a better boxer than he used to be. But even though he's improved he's undeniably slowed down and speedsters like Bivol feed off slower fighters.

Beterbiev does cut the ring very well, though, and he's got a sneaky trick where he treads on a guy's lead foot to give himself a fraction of a second longer to nail a stuck target. Bivol does tend to extend his lead foot far out ... so who knows? I think Beterbiev's route to victory is absolutely blasting Bivol's body whenever he gets a chance and when Bivol slows down, goodnight.

Bivol should, on the other hand, stick to boxing scared until he has a handle on Beterbiev's speed and movement, and until the fresh edge is off Artur. Box off the backfoot and try to catch AB coming in, to gain his respect. Later in the fight Bivol can up the pace and string together his combos. Age and speed are the reasons I lean ever so slightly towards Bivol. Prime, I prefer Artur.

I want this fight sooner rather than later.

Not sure why people favour Bivol so much, really. If he wins I guess that will be why, but I'd be surprised to see that.

Bivol looks pretty skinny/small compared to Beterbiev. Have to see them H2H, but it doesn't look good for Bivol size-wise.
Beterbiev might be slower than Bivol, but he catches up to everyone he faces pretty easily, closes pretty quick. Isn't Yarde supposed to be quick? Eventually they'll have to lock horns because unless the speed difference is incredible or you have a massive size advantage and play hugs, you can't run forever from a pressure guy it seems.
If Bivol sits on the ropes or stands there guarding up like he did against Canelo he'll probably be smashed to pieces. Beterbiev can manhandle him in a way Canelo can't.
I don't think Bivol's punches will do much, look how many Canelo took and he's a lot smaller than Beterbiev.

I agree with all your comments, Rummy. I've no idea who would win either, but I sure would like this bout to happen, and sooner rather than later.

For sure, Bivol wouldn't stand and trade with AB like Yarde did, however, Yarde DID tag AB enough to cut him and mark up his face.
Bivol would have to fight a perfect fight, which he surely is capable of, but AB's power is such that one punch could change the outcome.

    Let's get it on!

Beterbiev will get schooled in the center of the ring, his best chance would be to trap Bivol on the ropes and unload his heavy punches to the body, head and ears. Bivol is an excellent boxer and i doubt hed allow himself to be trapped on the ropes, where it would play into Beterbievs strengths. I think Bivol UD. Easier fight than most would expect.

I agree. Bivol's delicate anatomy won't endure Beterbiev's crude power.
