I see Kirkland's learned to stay away from skinny Japanese guys.

He's recruiting his sparring partners from Burger King and KFC, not the Sushi bar.

I would love to see Martinez crush him.

So that means Ichida can whoop heavyweights too because of Wolfe's logic? lolz

Kirkland wants to concentrate on staying on his feet with pitty pat little guys like Ishida before taking on big guys.

WTF? He is still eating too many damned shots! If a "Boxing Hobbyist" can connect clean like that his defense needs to be tightened. Ishida sparked things off with the jab! The brain is not a "conditionable" organ. Protect your chin!

Also, nothing is worse than an in shape been highly physically active his whole life pro fighter sparring a fat dude and then throwing up the weight issue. He is a HW? Really? No, he is at BEST a LHW/SMW and at worst MW. The dude's weight is a non issue because he obviously has long stints of not conditioning himself and isn't dieting (like the active fighter is). Give me his BMI, subtract the fat (+35%), and add 18-24% for his "fighting fit" weight. Then take credit for taking shots from THAT weight. A guy that big is fighting with a disadvantage not giving you bragging rights!

That dude was even using movement on Kirkland! Damn man!

He better get his mind right. Anne Wolf for mental and physical conditioning? Great! Boxing? I am just not seeing it...

I spent a few weeks with Teddy Reid. Was fortunate enough to see his sparring sessions with real heavyweights. Not world beaters, but decent guys with winning records. It was in Tom Yankellos training camp. He dropped two heavyweights while I was there. He dropped each guy with one shot a piece. 18oz gloves, and headgear. That was "sparring heavyweights."

I mean can you really take pride in beating a fat, bare footed guy who didn't even get a waist protector(?) ? I wouldn't have let anyone record this let alone put it on the internet.

The best way to describe this thread or video would be James Kirkland sparring an amateur.
