    Wards footwork and left hand would win it for him, just like for Jones against Toney. If Ward decided to fight on the inside he could lose though. Would definitely favour Ward in that one.

    Hopkins wanted no part of a prime Toney, but Ward who is Hopkins Jr would beat a prime toney?:lol:

    I agree 100% with this. I like ward but he isnt a power puncher and I doubt he he tougher than Toney or stronger.

    Its no secret im not the biggest of Ward fans but if there was on other guy i couldnt stand just as much . . . . its James ****ing Toney

    Besides being vastly over rated the styles wouldnt Gel and it wouldnt be an easy night by any means.

    Ward would slow the pace down and clinch, Toney wouldnt be able to utilize his defence because of this and it would just become a headbutting contest, the fight more than likely gets stopped due to a clash of heads or a SD coin toss in either direction

    If there was ever a fight I would pay not to see it would be this, At least Calzaghe-Hopkins had some ****ing humor in it :lol:

    You think Toney would let Ward clinch him to death? Would get get lite up on his way in before he could clinch.

    Look at some of the fighters Toney struggled against and lost to at the lighter weights. When Toney was good he was very good but he also looked average against some average opponents. Anybody claiming he'd beat Ward easily is dreaming. Ward has consistently performed at the highest level, you can't say that about Toney at any point of his career. Ward undoubtedly has better footwork, Ward could just keep range and stick the jab and hook into Toney all night long. In their primes this is an 80-20 fight in favour of Ward.
