He does have a good chin, and he recovers quickly.

Good chin, good heart=good powers of recovery.

I'm almost certain Roy cannot K.O Joe. But this IS Roy we're talking about....anything can happen. But I go for my original prediction, Calzaghe will turn the heat up once Roys legs start going from him.

Yeah, great chin, but he still ate that short right hand after Mitchell for the 2nd and 3rd time, I mean did he learn to have a defense for that at all? He did take away the right from Hopkins, but only after eating it a few times early, and going down to make the scorecards close. Roy's got a big right.

2 of 3 knockdowns were due to bad footwork...salem, hopkins he had both feet in line with shoulders when hit, any 1 would go down without good balance.

The Mitchell one is a bad example though, he plants his feet and backs himself (Rightly). Its not like he was boxing and getting caught, he got up and decided to go toe to toe. But you are right, short right hands are what have done for him.

thAAT IS JOE CALZAGHES one weakness is that if he gets hurt he goes macho man and goes toe 2 toe with anyone. he did not do it with BHOP but all his fights before that he would go in swinging if he got hurt and that was only thing i was worried about with the lacy fight.

if he gets hurt against joe then i can see him squaring up and throwing and looking to put roy out of there

If Joe fights his normal style -- and there's no reason to think he won't -- then Roy is going to have a chance to catch him and hurt him. Roy is faster and stronger (BHop being the possible exception) than any of the three guys who dropped Joe in the past.

If Roy hurts Joe, he better finish him off. Joe adapts well and quickly.

If I were Joe, I would hang back a bit and get a feel for Roy's strength level and speed before I went on the full offensive. Less chance of getting caught that way.

Its not a weakness per se, but a facet of his game. He has used it to his advantage in the past, but I concede that it is liable to bring trouble.
