It must be so frustrating for Murray. He should get a defence of the British title in while his Euro fight is being sorted. Fat Mick is a joke, and like has already been said, John should join his brother at Hatton Promotions.

And Taco Bill, I haven't seen a lot of your posts on here, but judging by this thread I have come to the conclusion that you are a ****nig runt.

The 3 guys you mentioned, I don't think it's the promoters fault.

Witter isn't a big star and doesn't have many fans, not because of his promoter, but because of the way he fights, and his personality. Compare his personality to his rival Hatton.

Same with Murray, he has no charisma. He has a more exciting fighting style, but unlike Hatton, he doesn't have the personality. Hatton did his whole "one of the lads" routine, comes across as down to earth, friendly etc. Now compare Murray to his rival Khan. Khan was an olympic medalist which instantly raises his profile, he's a British Muslim which I think helps him (even though I think it's also a reason why many hate him) he has amazing talent, which is plain for all to see, and he smiles a lot more and seems way more approachable and friendly than Murray.

Now Froch, again I think it just comes down to personality. Similar to his his rival Calzaghe. Now Calzaghe is not the most charismatic guy either and this is part of the reason why he never became a superstar untill the very end of his career when he took on Hopkins and Jones. However, the super six will do a lot for Carl's profile.

Mick gets a lot of hate on here but I think too much credit is being given to promoters. Do you think Warren could make Murray into a star? I don't think so. Switch it round and let's say Khan and Hatton were with Mick, I think they would still be superstars. Calzaghe was with Warren and even though he was undefeated and had talent, Warren couldn't turn him into a superstar of the stature of Hatton because Calzaghe isn't as charismatic.

The 3 guys you mentioned all have domestic rivals who are more succesfull than them for different reasons, and they come across as bitter and jealous. This **** isn't gonna go down well with the public and as a result, promoters aint gonna be fighting over them. That's what I think, it comes down mainly to the fighters personality, not the promoters. Big names get big fights, and big names get promoters fighting over them, and it might be a case of judging a book by it's cover. I mean, who knows, Ricky Hatton could be an egotistical **** in reality, and Murray could be the nicest guy in the world but people can't get to know these boxers so they go by what they see. In most cases what you see is what you get because you can't fake that **** for too long.

Listen mate...Mick Hennessy fighters don't fight.

Its all good and rosey, talking about chrisma and personality.

But you have to have something called talentin boxing.......and Junior Witter had allot of talent.

Mick Hennessy should of had Junior Witter fighting, and kept him busy. A busy fighter, who keeps on winning and knocking people out..! will always always get some attention.

Mick Hennessy is a **** promoter, and s **** at life.

Yeah and Calzaghe had something called talent too. he was undefeated, why didn't he become a star on the level of Hatton? He was with Warren too, the numero uno of British promoters. Warren said it himself, when it came to doing tv appearances, travelling, he didn't wanna know. Unlike Hatton who milked the whole Jack the lad thing.

Witter may be talented but he had opportunities where he slipped up, he didn't keep winning, or knocking people out like you said. Dude got 22 knockouts from 42 fights, he's not Tyson. He's hasn't got a very exciting style either and the thing is, he doesn't have a lot of fans.

I'm not knocking the guy, I respect dudes for just getting in the ring but it is what it is. The promoters do make a difference but if the public can't relate to a fighter then he better have some elite, once in a generation type of talent to make up for it, otherwise no promoter will be able to turn him into a star. I still say that if you take those three fighters and swap promoters with their rivals, not much changes.

Where's Britian? I find your comments insulting. I like elderly asians, they've got class unlike the chavvy little scrotes who shout innit and think they are black when infact they iz brown innit.
