While I'd consider it a bit harsh (and erroneous) to claim "Fury did nothing" to neutralize and shut Wladimir's offensive potential down, I do completely agree with the general notion that people are vociferously looking for excuses to discredit Joshua's win. It was clear that there would be some excuses prior to the fight even taking place, which is rather unfortunate.

And yes, Wladimir actually came to win and seemed to be in even better condition than he was when he faced Fury. I also agree with your assessment regarding Wlad's sense of urgency. People say "he should've done this" or "he should've done that" after Joshua gassed (and became a sitting duck), but they seem to have a problem acknowledging the fact that:

1). Wladimir had just been sent to the canvas in the 5th, so he was potentially still hurt and recovering. Unlike many of Wladimir's previous opponents, AJ was actually able to put some leather on him. So Wlad measured himself accordingly. As a veteran, he went for a fight ending right hand as soon as he realized AJ's gas tank was empty in the 6th, so the myth about his "inability to pull the trigger now" is just that... a myth.

2). Joshua was slipping enough of Wladimir's left hooks after he got up, so Wladimir was probably just a little gassed and recovering some stamina himself after missing some of those shots. The 5th and 6th Rounds were "hair raising" for both boxers.
