If this became truth, Floyd wants pac to lose his athletic ability, and/or duck him. Floyd has the better toolbox, so it won't deteriorate as easily.

What lengths to protect an 0..

Or perhaps he only had one agenda when he came back, pay off his tax debt and stack a little money aside and call it a career...

Well.....if what Floyd says is true then we don't have a fight folks. Huge dissapointment. Not that Floyd or Manny needed each other...their legacies are what they are which are very good and great!

But as fans and the sport as a whole we all lost. In my opinion if this is true and if Floyd is really going to be taking 2 yrs off then it only solidifies that he never wanted to face Manny.

And even though "Money" is all about getting paid.....the risk of facing Manny and losing did not seem to outweigh the massive amount of dollars he could make.

Not sure, considering he went all this way to attempt to fight, and other crap such as announcing his return during the Pac/Hatton fight.

I think he's just trying to set the tone for this round of negotiations. Or at least I hope so. If I'm right about Floyd......his reservations about facing Manny will not outweigh the kind of money he can make in this fight. I know keeping his undfeated record is pretty much everything to Floyd..

But how things play out will let us know what is really more important to Floyd......Money?? Or keeping his undfeated record??

I wouldn't be at all surprised if this were the case.

The "talk to my promoter" duck failed, the split purse controversy failed, the random drig testing smokescreen failed and now he's probably going to wait till Pac's soaked up some more punishment Hagler-Mugabi style. What'll be his last resort, stealing rounds with 30 seconds left?

Either way, Ring magazine is gonna **** a brick

Floyd talks out his ass all the time, you people should know by now to not put worth in every little instigator bull**** he throws out there to stir **** up. Unless there's an official press conference I don't believe it in the slightest

Sad to see how many Pac fans in this thread want Floyd to retire.

They'd rather Floyd retire so they can call him a ***** than actually see the fight.

LMfao!!!! This is ****ing hilarious "He talks out his ass all the time" "He's just trying to stir up the fight." You believe his allegations about Pac using peds without any proof, yet when he himself says he plans to retire, you call bull****. Omfg!!! This is hilarious

Everyone has an agenda. If Pacquiao beat Mosley, the first people telling us Shane was past prime and effected by the lay off would be NALLEGE and co.

...That's why nobody should take any of it seriously...it's all bull****.
