That's cause Chad is mental midget 50% of the time. I think he's doing his taxes in his head in the middle of his fights sometimes. Physically and skill wise, he should've dominated Diaconu.

As a Dawson fan I have to somewhat agree with you. Also Dawson has a tendancy to switch trainers, sometimes I wonder what's going on his head. For example during the lead-up to the Hopkins fight, he dropped Emmanuel Steward and just hired John Scully out of the blue. Scully is not a bad trainer but he didn't train Dawson for eight years, and he does have not the experience in high level fights like Steward does.

I think Dawson would have dominated Hopkins had he stayed with Steward. There probably wouldn't have been a second fight. One of the things I noticed since Dawson joined with Scully is that Dawson does not use his left hand that much, he looks like a one-handed boxer. And that's the problem, Scully didn't have the experience training Dawson. Of course Scully now knows what Dawson needs to work on.

 

Didn't he drop Steward cause Manny wouldn't travel to him or some **** like that?

I can kind of understand since the only fighter Steward seems to give a **** about these days is Ukrainian.

 

Don't count Dawson out of this fight guys. He'll present Ward with new challenges that he has never encounter before IMAO.

 

Well that was one of the reasons. Also I heard Dawson did not get along with some of the fighters in the Kronk Gym.

Steward does not have a large stable anymore, his top fighters are Wladimir Klitschko and Andy Lee. Steward only trained with Wladimir for four weeks for the Thompson bout. So Dawson would have been fine staying with Steward, oh well. I'm guessing Dawson wanted to be close to home so he can hang out with his friends and family.
