Damn, good luck, sir. What do you know about the guy you're fighting? I helped train someone for an amateur fight he had around where I live and he knew he was facing a BJJ oriented guy.
July 31st... :deal I know nothing. You get assigned a dude on the day as people could bull**** about their weight and stuff. If he is one of our guys he will be well trained in most areas as we have great coaches for all aspects of MMA. I just want to put in a solid performance... like i said before, i'm a 170lb fighter and this fight will be at 205lbs so i'm hoping for the best really. Lynchburg
Good luck lynch, with no head shots try jabbing to the body/chest an mixing leg kicks and if your plum is good go for it!
Good luck Lynchburg. I don't know whether you favour stand up or ground (I believe your Muay Thai?) but we prep our junior fighters for similar rules so maybe a few general things that help our novices; - if your a conventional stance fighter learn to circle right and fire the counter leg kick / right hand. Target that left side using your Thai and finishing clean to minimise tie up. - work on your throwing from the clinch - be sharp with body shots but focus on thai low and mid level basics - really focus on your timing and judgement drills.
if you're taller, manage your distance well.. scout ur opponent's mma background and come up with a gameplan.. follow it to a tee and always listen and follow your corner's advice.. Good luck Lynch. You can do it! :good
Cheers dude... yeah most Muay Thai and BJJ... The plan is to see who i'm facing and then come up wit ha plan. To be honest though i'm going to look for a choke finish from a sprawl as that is what i'm best at but we'll see how it pans out :think Standup or on the ground i'm not that worried to be honest but this will be my only fight at light heavy so we'll see how i do with the big guys... :thumbsup Lynchburg
where is it taking place?HOw can you get tickets?? MY mate went to an amateur MMA event up near newcastle and loved it. MY only advice would be to swim without getting wet. Good luck
Cage... 18ft :deal Cheltenham. I'll get someone to record it for everyone to watch anyway... I got some time in at the Leisure center today. An hour swimming and and hour in the steam room and sauna I'm 205lbs on the dot so the weight won't be an issue. Cheers for all the tips guys. I don't expect any ESB guys to make it as it's a trek but if you are in the area it's only £4 for more that 10 fights and i'm pretty sure there will be a Jaco stand there and ****. You might even run into Matt Ewin or Che Mills if you are after and interview? :deal Lynchburg
Just remember all I taught you about reach knowledge when you are headlining a UFC Superfight at the 02 fella You cant buy knowledge like that, and I think it would be nice if you could hook me up with cage side seats as a thank you
