On the job listening to your interview with Seth Mitchell, Rummy.

I must say, Seth really impresses me. He's an intelligent fellow.

  2. That was a good fight while it lasted. Golovkin obviously has natural power.

To be fair to Bute he was all guns blazing there and more than a little wreckless. That right hand had almost landed flush a couple of times already. He's a lot more refined now and tucks his chin in a lot more.

ah ha.. so Bute is human too..! Like Ward said anybody can get it.. (E-40 said that too...)

Its just nice to see Bute has some heart about himself.. He got stole on a couple times.. that last shot was picture perfect... but he got up.. no shame.. He was working old dude until he ran in to the perfect shot...

Was a good shot and yes there are question marks on butes chin.. Don't think ward will be the one who will stopping him though. Ward just doesn't have the pop, unless bute chin is as bad as some feel it could be.

I was thinking more of the speed factor.

Bute definitely never saw that shot coming. Admittedly, it had wicked pop behind it so you could be right. Maybe Ward doesn't carry the power with the speed needed to do that to Bute.

I tend to believe he does.

I really rate ward, especially after the past weekend.. He has a toughness and craftiness that ensures that he is very difficult to beat. I just don't see him hurting fighters that much with the kind of power that even suggests he will be knocking many over. As i said, bute may have a weakness but I can't help but feel that if there is a knockout in this fight it will be Ward finding himself down.. The chances are very slim and thats why I think if they fight it will probably be a tough ground out victory for ward. Bute does posses vicious power though and if he tags ward it will be interesting.

If bute had his special referee he would have won this fight.

Yeah, I must say I agree with you.

He was a very likable guy and I was glad to have the opportunity to speak with him. Definitely looking forward to watching his progression. I just hope he isn't rushed too quickly, as he is still very much a work in progress.

Bute was a frigging amateur. Did you noticed that his style has changed immensely. He was behind on points he got wild and careless, even his headgear was off obstructing his sight.
If you read some of his interviews after the Andrade fight you'll see in most of them this sentence "a split of second can change the fate of a fight" he has become really cautious, after that 12th round, which probably shaken his world and made him better.
Like a mate said above Bute wasn't tucking his chin wasn't using his jab.
And unlike Ward, Golovkin packs one hell of a punch. I don't think you'll see Andre putting all his weight in a punch the way GGG did it.Plus that was a fast short punch . It was a bit similar with what Martinez put PW down but with the notice that this was more compact with less power and same way right on the button.

He should just hang 'em up and never even attempt to embark on a professional career. He obviously will never accomplish anything professionally.

At first I expected this thread to be about how good and dangerous Gennady Golovkin is, stopping a top class SMW in the amatures.
But it looks more like a lousy attempt to dish Bute instead :-((

Outside Taylor Froch hasn't knocked out or even down anyone of note. He isn't particularly heavy-handed to be honest.
