A very good fighter in his own right. He was the fellow who earlier ruptured blood vessels in Rockys nose, causing a postponement of the title match.
Love these two guys, and for different reasons, of course. I dig that big bag that Rockys whaling on, and Walcott is a genius, IMO.
Technically 270lbs, nice footage, I want 1 of those bags, the heavier the bag the more compact and strong you have to punch, you can't wing fast wide shots at those bags and hope not to break your hand.
Exagerration, slight or otherwise, is not something the sport or even discussion of it needs. If we, as fans right now, keep doing this **** the bag will be 500 pounds in 50 years. :verysad
In Marciano's book, they claimed 300lb hitting bag, So I was going by that. Didn't realize 30lb was such an inconvenience for you. Your lucky I even posted this video for you. Now go back to your flexing in the mirror.
Ya, I was always amused the way he ducked under a heavy bag that was so low to the ground, but if you think about it...this is the type of thing he did in a fight that would be very effective against taller opponents throughout history, because those guys simply would leave themselves way off balance and out of position bending down trying to hit a very low crouched rock cleanly. I think he displays tremendous power in that clip, you can see the 270lb bag moving around and imagine marciano in the ring vs a 270lb man moving him around with his huge punches.
30 pounds is 30 pounds and the actual truth, well... it's the actual ****ing truth. Watch these videos before you post them next time. :good
or the narrater on the video could be mistaken. he was just reading off a sheet, he could have got his information from the wrong place. Source in Marcianos biography states the bag was 300lb, I prefer the latter source than from some narrater. read other more important sources before you jump to a conclusion based on a "narraters" words.
Anybody have the full version of this training session? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ClaGs1_1RGA 0:07
Marciano seems to move the bag similar to how Liston moved the regular bag,he generated a hell of a lot of power out of those stubby legs and thick arms. Walcott said on film Rocky had better one shot power than Louis.Watching this you can beleive it.
