Im not surprise something like this turn out for a Hopkins fight, if the guy cant bully his opponent or get away with his dirty tactics or help from the ref with his acting abilities, expect this from the guy simple as that.

The problem here is Hopkins past. If this was almost any other fighter on the planet, he would be given the benefit of the doubt.

    BUT, it's Hopkins.

This **** will be debated every time his name surfaces until the end of time. Unfortunately, the only person who knows the truth is Hopkins.

Gots to love CA. Now you can win Boxing titles with body slams!

I am just mad because both men looked ready to go. We will never know. Boxing needs a national commission with at minimum a national network of doctors to verify controversial fight stopping injuries like this.

Boxing lost, but damn that undercard was smokin'.

I guess it could have been worse...

I definitely don't think it should have been called a TKO, though. That's just silly. Dawson also comes across as quite unlikable in the interview, and did nothing noteworthy in the fight.

LOL @ Hopkins whining about fouling

That overhead shot shows it even better - Hopkins threw his overhand right, Dawson slipped/ducked it, Hopkins followed it in and leaned all over Dawson's back and as Dawson straightened up he used his shoulder to push Hopkins away. When Hopkins realises both his feet are off the ground, he actually tries to grab Dawson's left hip with his right glove to hold on!

Hopkins then tries to overdramatise it all by falling heavily, but the first point of contact was his backside and then his back. There was no need for him to twist to his left and land on his elbow like that.

It was effectively a throw, but it was Hopkins' fault for being in a position to be thrown - what was Dawson supposed to do? Stay bent over while Hopkins leaned all over him and punched him in the thigh/hip like he usually does?

Hopkins faked it - if he was in so much pain, how was he able to hang around for so long to speak to Kellerman?
