Hearns and McClellan were very hard punchers.

Toney looks in great shape, I forgot this James Toney. Toney even looks tall!

The one thing I don't like about Toney is when he leans over to the right, like WAY TO THE RIGHT side. He is almost turning around, he is so far to the right. I hate the way he does that. Sometimes, I think it is bordering on illegal. Stand up and really box and be slick, show the world what you really can do, instead of leaning off to the right rediculously.

Also, I don't really like the way James talks and says he is gonna Ko every heavyweight, and then he doesn't ko anyone. He makes me think, and then he doesn't come thru, I hate when he does that.

Other than that, I like James Toney and wish he would KO Haye.

.....AHAHAHA, I coulda sworn u just called this poor mans bhop a potential top 5 atg, my eyes must play tricks on me.

jokes aside, hes merely a hall of famer(a great achievement). hes struggled against and lost to too many average fighters in his day. look, a glacial slow, predictable plodder like barkley with no footwork and no angles was tailor made to fail against toney's in the pocket fighting style. and it still took him what, 8-9 rounds to get him outta there? nigel benn destroyed a better version in one.

and what exctly has iran done in his career? his two big career achievements are getting a lucky punch in on an on the slide hearns and losing to a 38 yo lightweight. whod he beat outside of hearns anyway?

james's appeal has always been based off his old school style of fight, and its due to this he gets massively overated. oh, and im laughin my ass off at the clowns that think he beats calzaghe, could somebody please explain to me how he does this?

    co-sign that.

Toney never reached his full potential, and that's a shame. He could've achieved so much more if it wasn't for lack of discipline and bad luck. He's still an ATG.

Toney is the most naturally gifted fighter from the past 20 years from middle-weight upwards. He was more gifted than Roy Jones (but not as athletic). The Barkley fight was one fight where he was on top of his game.

James put a straight up criminally nasty beatdown on Barkley.

One of the few fighters of recent years who could have held his own in ANY era.

Kessler is underrated, and he's Joes best win. Roy Jones is too faded now and Joe didn't beat B-Hop in my book (of course it was a very close fight).

However, I still rank McCallum and Nunn a notch above Kessler.

I'm a *******, but I am also a huge Toneytard. I adore that fat genius. Toney-McCallum I is one of my favourite fights ever. JT is ****ing dynamite.

you watch toney beat that fool down?.. or do you watch the 10 second clip of iran getting lucky against hearns?...

duran former lightweight .. beat barkley ...

his best win was against a blown up 147 who had seen better days ...

if you see him now he looks like a 1 eyed jackolantern...head still a mass of swelling from all the poundings your average club fighter has to take ...

    yeah real bad ass stuff!

What happened between Toney and Jackie Kallen? Didn't he threaten her with a gun after the Jones loss?

And also does anyone know what song Toney used to enter the ring for the Jones fight.

    Thanks in advance :good
