Even though he did have some controversial title fights he did put in some really good performances against Pascual Perez - Interested to get people's take on what they think of him. Where do you all rank Kingpetch in the Flyweight divisions history? I don't see him get mentioned so often.
Brilliant, eveerybody on these threads are too busy still talking about Manny and Floyd to credit skilled fighters like these guys, I like the way he moved off the center line after jabbing also, great boxing.
Pone was superb in the Perez rematch. One of the best jabbing clinics you'll ever see. He was very tall and big at the weight too.. 5'7... that's tall as Hell for a flyweight. He's generally regarded as a top 10-15 all time flyweight and for good reason. Btw, this is not at all to sound racist, but Pone might have been one of the first Asian boxers with a smooth boxing style.
