Floyd won this fight/ He took control during the 2nd half. He beat Maidona inside and outside. He landed inside uppercuts over and over. Floyd had to fight to earn his money. Finished strong. Watch the fight.

 

Watched this fight again just the other week and I had Maidana winning or at minimum a draw. The notion of 'floyd took over in the later rounds' like we hear in nearly all his fights is irrelevant to the overall scoring. It looks nice finishing a fight strong but he simply dropped too many of the earlier rounds. A 10-9 round is a 10-9 round no matter how good or bad you look.

 

Log off and find a new sport to watch. First the horn hype and now this. Pbf got cut early in the fight which bothered him. Once he adjusted he took over and won the fight. No way in hell did maidana win that fight. He foulded kneed and tried to rough up pbf thats it.

 

Maidana won. Mayweather done jack all in that fight to deserve it. If that was 2 unknown or lesser guys the result would have been different. Mayweather got embarrassed, and the funny thing is he only started using that TBE chant thing before that fight. Best I could do for Floyd was a draw.

Agreed he roughed up & bullied Floyd who complained that the ref didn't stop Maidana doing it roflmao He hired Uncle Kenny for the rematch Kenny did more than Floyd to ensure he won this fight

Floyd didn't lose that fight. He beat Maidana in both fights. The fight that I think that Floyd lost it was Floyd vs Castillo I.

 

You quite literally just repeated what I said everyone says, clear as day. 'After blah blah blah, Floyd took over the fight' YES HE DID. But he lost too many rounds early. Yes, JUST LIKE PACQUIAO. No struggle there. Chalk it down to injury, age, lack of alleged PEDs - whatever you want but the fight was always under Floyd's control.

 

Always makes me chuckle when people moan about rematches for their defeated guy, and if that rematch never happens the win is somehow devalued. PBF and Canelo fought. Floyd won handily.

Put it this way, had the Mad Mexican Meat Machine won the fight and put a loss on Mayweather's record that would be the subject of a longer thread than TKO6 and no Floyd-hater would be saying 'ah but they never rematched, I'll cut him some slack'...
