First off, you don't really see Mayweather pushing off the forearm. He kind of just blocks with it, that can be difficult for a ref to see. Second, I guess anytime a fighter gets a point deducted for a low blow, we should just show the first Mares/Agbeko fight as evidence of why points shouldn't be deducted for a low blow.
lol, im trying to show that alot of fighters do it including the best, i dont see why its been blown up so much when khan does it. i agree that some of the pushes khan did were a bit too blatant, but peterson did not complain about them evn when asked about it.
people saying the ref was not fair? after he warned khan that this was the 'last time' he still waited 8 pushes (really 5 i think) before actually taking the point away. Pushing is not permitted in the Game of Boxing just as touching the ball with your hands is not permitted in Soccer, but honestly who follows those silly rules anyway? Boxing is the only game where RULES are allowed to be broken based on the situation. At any rate, there's an unwritten corollary to the pushing rule, which is that you are allowed to shove an opponent off you to give yourself space to punch, but you are not allowed to blatantly push an opponent. Khan does this several times (example at 20sec in the video) he throws a combination and then pushed Peterson. or at 1:10, where Peterson isn't even near Khan and Khan pushes him away after having already shoved him off (and gets the point deduction). lets face is, Khan was completely frustrated by Peterson's approach, had no idea what to do about it and resorted to fouling.
what does this video have to do with floyd? "they caught my boyfriend khan so im gonna post a video of floyds elbows" :rofl
double standaerd bro, dont moan when one fighter does it, yet turn a blind eye when another fighter does the same.
Good video, and demonstrates why the man was penalized, I still don't see why all the fuss. Even in the video you can see him getting warned...clearly, he continued, then after the first deduction he chills on it and the pushes aren't as blatant, but then in the 11th and 12th he goes all out on the pushing AGAIN. It's not the refs fault, it's Khans fault, you adjust to how the game is being officiated, no different than in basketball, football, or any other sport.
No one here is "moaning", the referee was "moaning", the people here are simply pointing out the validity of the referee's decision.
mayweather pushes with elbow every time ali used to pull opponent head down lewis pushed his fist to hold opponents head still i can keep going on both fighters fought dirty at times but only Khan got warned, ref should have left the fighters get on with it or break them apart from a clinch, instead he waited till khan pushed then he deducts a point from Khan. i had it 113-112 Khan, hometown decision not a robbery, khan was average, peterson was great so was the fight, like hopkins said if you fight in your opponent backyard you lose 2 points before you fight, peterson deserved some luck in his life, lucky but classy champ
PBF does this to create a little room and to get off shots and wants to fight inside. Khan on the other hand doesn't want to fight inside and just pushes the guy away to get away to prevent the other guy from fighting there, big difference.:deal
nah u just sound like a *****. its like if a guy gets caught cheating in class then he tells on everyone else that cheated. but anyway floyd doesnt elbow nearly as much as khan pushes and never been warned that many times. khan was actually PUSHING with his elbow. floyds elbows arent really dangerous they just annoy opponents and
